When zombies, vampires, werewolves, skeletons, and other undead and frightening creatures are not working in the film industry, they're actually trying to lead a normal life. The key word being 'trying.'At least in this hilarious comic series by Emi Illustrations. Appropriately titled Zomcom, this imaginative universe is full of spooky misfits and the everyday struggles they face. Weirdly, it's kind of relatable. To some extent, of course.

Shot In The Feelings
As a bachelor of animation and illustration, Emilia skillfully projects her funny and clever stories through comic strips that are so visually compelling, they don’t need words. A smart blend of humor, subtle horror and common situations everyday situations. Spice it up with scary, yet very likable characters and you've got yourself a series you might want to follow on social media.
What The Fluff
Throw Me A Bone
We've already shared a collection of cute Zomcom comics on Bored Panda, but Emilia has been keeping herself busy, so we just had to create another one. Bringing them from the undead, here are the adventures of a zombie girl, her werewolf boyfriend, and their weird friends.
Fast Mail
I Find You Guiltpee
"I remember creating a comic when I was around 8 years old," Emilia told Bored Panda. "I showed it to my classmates to try and get a laugh out of them. Though I stopped making comics until quite recently. The internet really helped me share my jokes with a wider audience."
"The art style I went for, in my comics, is basically just a mixture of all the artists I've ever loved. Such as Jamie Hewlett (Gorillaz, Tank Girl), Matthieu Cousin (OK K.O.), and Bryan Lee O'Malley (Scott Pilgrim)."
Helping Hand
Dog, Cat & The Bird
Zomcom doesn’t have a narrative so there aren’t a lot of philosophical themes explored. "It’s more about a zombie girl living a wholesome everyday life in a Halloween-y world.," the artist said. "I think why Zomcom stands out is because it has no written dialogue so everything is explained through actions and expressions. It's an easy read for children and people from all over the world can enjoy it without having to learn another language."
But Emilia's other comic, Axed, is a different. "Although it’s mostly focused telling funny jokes there’s an underlying theme of finding/losing purpose in life and perseverance."
Head Above The Rest
Hissed Off
Her productivity has earned Emilia a huge fan army. For example, her Facebook page currently has over 140K followers. "I'm definitely feeling more pressure the more popular I'm getting. People just want more and more content and it’s a struggle now that I have 2 separate comics to do. However, it's a good kind of pressure! It helps me get my work done!
And she finds it really rewarding as well. "I really love having people write to me or send me art, saying I've inspired them. It's a wonderful feeling to know I’ve been able contribute to the community! I get a lot of parents writing to me, thanking me for wholesome content that their kids enjoy. It's very touching, and that kinda keeps me going."
"I wanna encourage other people to draw even if it’s for fun!" the artist added. "Not only is it therapeutic, it’s a wonderful feeling to be able to create and exercise your creativity and imagination."

They have just this moment changed it as I began reading them. The title says "werewolf" now.
Load More Replies...Not really the type of humour I enjoy, but it is a pretty unique idea for comic strips - equal parts spooky and adorable. And I absolutely love the art style.
