Carrie Fisher’s mother Debbie Reynolds has passed away only a day after her daughter died. “The last thing she said this morning was that she was very, very sad about losing Carrie and that she would like to be with her again,” Debbie’s son Todd said. “Fifteen minutes later she suffered a severe stroke.”
This old photo was taken in 1963 at the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas when young Carrie was watching her mom perform from the backstage. It’s a perfect example of their special bond which they discussed in 2011 on an interview with Oprah Winfrey. “I believe my mother knows now but if she doesn’t, it would be good if she did,” Fisher said. “I take her advice, that I follow her example, that I respect who she is … and if I’m like her in any way then I’m happy that I am.”

This is so heartbreaking! I feel so very sorry for Billie and Todd and hope they have great people around supporting them during this awful time. :'(
I agree, a double loss during the holidays. I feel so much for the family right now
