How about having a pillow that will bring the scent of the wild forest into your busy urban life? Sounds crazy but it’s true. Searching for effective anti-stress techniques in my own life, I came with the idea how to bring back good night’s sleep. So with my team – three young entrepreneurs – we created a pillow filled entirely with fresh pine shavings stuffed in a linen pillowcase. The combination of these two natural materials – linen and pinewood, makes Shisharca pillow the ultimate organic pillow.

Yes, it is naturally scented! These shavings are made of pine species called Pinus Nigra. And no, it is not hard! We have spent months in experiments in search of the optimal shavings’ thickness and shape. We developed a special process for creating thin and rolled pinetree shavings, and this results in softer and more airy pillow.

Shisharca is inspired by a Japanese practice called shinrin-yoku, meaning “forest bathing”. Numerous studies showed that this preventive health care method reduces stress – the main cause of nearly all health problems. Shisharca pillow is a wonderful extension of your evening meditation routine and/or mindfulness practices as is involves an extra sense – the smell.

It all starts with the delivery of pine tree logs approved and controlled by Forestry in a mountainous region somewhere in the middle of Bulgaria – a small country in the Balkan peninsula.
