Promotional images of fast food burgers often mislead consumers, leading them to expect more than what they actually receive. The reality is often a poorly constructed burger (or any other unfortunate food item off the menu), resembling the Leaning Tower of Pisa, which is far from appealing.
However, the McSenget Instagram account is a refreshing change from the norm. It showcases an array of overstacked burgers, some precariously balanced, others with ingredients haphazardly placed. These burgers may not look appetizing, but they sure are entertaining to behold. This account serves as a fun and lighthearted take on fast-food burgers, as well as other fast-food such as icecream, hashbrowns, and other things, offering followers a unique and humorous perspective on the industry.
With that being said, if you'd love to see more messed up burgers or food in general, then make sure to check out part 1 on Bored Panda.

Bored Panda got in touch with the team of McSenget to learn more about their page and this initiative. We got curious about how they decide on which pictures are worth to be shared on their page. The creators shared that they have a team that will assess the submissions. "There are certain submissions that were just really funny and were no-brainers. Other times when a team member found a picture to be suspicious, or contentious of being “senget”, the team would discuss it over our team chat. Sometimes even putting up for a vote!"
The founders of McSenget's Instagram page revealed that they used to receive 20 submissions per day at their peak, but it had been relatively quiet these days. Nowadays they get around 2 or 3 posts in a week.
We asked the team whether they noticed any trends or common issues with the quality of McDonald's burgers. They answered that they do observe a significant drop in submissions "if that’s any indication of improvement in alignment quality. But it could mean that people no longer find “senget” burgers funny. But as a regular customer, I do observe that the burgers I personally receive tend to be very much improved. So kudos to McDonald’s and their staff!"
Filet o fish! Don’t judge me but I get it with bread, the fish thing, and mayo. So damn good.
When it comes to the future, the team of McSenget's Instagram page doesn't really have specific plans. Mainly because the team each has a full-time job of their own. "Mcsenget is pretty much managed as a hobby at the moment as it’s fun for us! We barely broke even from our first line of T-shirts, but it was still a fun experience that we’re grateful for! As for plans to cover other restaurants, we did think about it, but we were cautious to implement this content strategy as it might dilute our McCore. But it’s definitely something still on the table for discussion if the team has time to expand on it. Ultimately, we’d be happy to expand our content as long as our fans enjoy it!"
This looks like if the Captcha verification text were a sandwich.
It's McDonald's. Except for the pics showing missing sandwich components, the rest are pretty standard fare. I just feel happy when everything I ordered is actually in the bag. There's a 50/50 chance something is left out, at least at our McDonald's.
I would be impressed if someone had a well made Filet o Fish picture.
I haven't eaten at McDonald's since '95 when I got so sick from a sausage McMuffin that I couldn't keep food down for over a week. I still can't even think about eating there .. all of these pictures reinforce my decision! Ewww!!!
Someone else may have commented on this but I can tell you most of the fails. They toast the burger/chicken sandwich buns and steam the fish sandwich buns. Then they put the top half of the bun into the top of the box and the bottom into the bottom half. Then they dress the buns per the "recipe" they are making. Then they just shut the box without touching the sandwich components again, this will cause most of your alignment issues. All of this has to be done within roughly seconds because they want orders out within 2 minutes to keep the drive thru going, regardless of the order size or number of orders.
but all of the pictures are from the same account. That explains all the Filet o Fishes. Maybe it's always the same place that messes food up? Honestly I've never had anything that bad looking from my McDonald's
A lot of these would be improved if the person making it had some McBalance or McDepth Perception.
Busy time of day, impatient customers, managers who just want to churn out product as quickly as possible with little regard for quality and workers who aren't being paid enough to give a damn. What does that add up to? That being said, I suspect quite a few of these are staged. I've been going to McDonald's for sixty years or more and have never been served anything nearly this bad.
I went McDonald’s the other day and got a happy meal cuz I want that hungry. My burger, was as flat as a deflated ballon. Has no mayo(which was specifically asked for) ,had barely any ketchup(which was also specifically asked for), and the meat patty was skinnier than Slenderman. 😂
Why is everyone so butthurt that the filet o'fish is not stacked properly AFTER moving it? I guess they should put it in the cheeseburger packaging, so people can chill the f**k down. But then they'll probably cry because the sauce touched the packaging. Like most of the pictures is just whiny people getting the food they ordered.
I guess I'm dumb, because I don't understand what the problem is. Look people, McDonald's workers are human. Yes, they make mistakes, most of which are cosmetic. Are people so picky (i.e., entitled) that they expect perfection every second?
I worked at a McDonald's when I was 15. The manager was a horrendous bltch. I usually walked 2 miles after school if my older classmates that wasn't friendly but took me to work sometimes wasn't available. I complained because there were maggots in the prep table. It was a metal counter you wiped food into the corners and were supposed to be cleaned out often. Guess who got fired after bitchlng about the maggots and asking for time off to take drivers lessons in November. I will drink thier coffee and use the bathroom on a road trip but 34 years later I can still see those maggots as I made Big Macs.
I'm almost betting some of these were ordered that way. Burger, but no burger, extra cheese, etc. It sure looks that way. I haven't ever gotten food from there that looks this bad.
Many McD employees don't care, especially those in large cities like New York City. Horrible service ... missing items ... sandwiches looking crappy. Doesn't the franchise care? No, I no longer eat at any McDonalds in any city. Used to be fun to dine there when our kids were young and active. Now, they stay miles away from any McD too. Sad!
When it comes to eating at McDonald's, I alternate millenia. The current one is a "no".
Beyond the many reflections that can be made on McDonalds, in these types of topics I base myself on what my body tells me. When I happened to eat at McDonalds, I always had trouble digesting, with a long feeling of heaviness and frequent belching. So, I just don't eat at McDonalds. And note well that I have no problem with even ethnic, spicy foods and with unusual ingredients... What makes the difference is the quality of the ingredients and the preparation. And from this post you can understand many things.
We eat very rarely at McDonalds or Burger King, but when we were younger, we went fairly often…. I‘ve never seen a Burger that grossed me out or had missing parts.
Garbage will always look like garbage, no matter how nice the box looks.
What shits me is the price you pay for one of their "burgers" and you get something literally slapped together....poorly. not to mention their burgers are basically just sliders now.
Blimey, mcD's is gross? Wow, we never knew. What are these people expecting?
I worked at Wendy's in high school and that was a huge no-no!! You would get reamed for that! You made those burgers with pride!! lol
Mostly just pictures of slide from moment due to warm sauce/warm cheese. Was expecting something like McBukkakes or that burger I was given once that had basically been dipped in chilli sauce because I asked for cheese on a veggie burger.
Don't let your expectations get too high when you decide to order McDonald's.
I can’t stand McDonalds. Even the “best” looking ones still about make me gag!
I got so sad and bothered by the 12th picture I quit reading. I wonder if all of these were takeout orders, if I'd been sitting in the restaurant and found these I would have taken them back up and politely asked for a correct order.
So many fish sandwiches. These pictures are why I don't frequent McDonalds unless I'm desperate.
