Putin Invaded Ukraine But United The Whole World, Here Are 47 Of The Most Important Things That Have Been Done So Far
On 24th February 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine. In response to this unprovoked and unjustified war, countries across the world are condemning the attack and rushing to aid Ukraine and its people. The Western world and its allies have stepped up to assist this brave nation by providing military equipment and humanitarian assistance.
"Here in Ukraine, we will be repeating this over and over again: Russia’s war isn’t only about our country. This is about all of us. Because of Russian hybrid warfare, everyone who values freedom, democracy, and justice is a potential target," Nataliia Steblyna wrote in the Kyiv Independent, saying that we all should stand together and that even the smallest steps may be significant.
Inspired and touched by defenders fighting on the streets and outskirts of attacked cities, people are uniting like never before. From protests to cyberattacks to canceled sports and cultural events, thousands continue to help the Ukrainian government and civilians in any way they can.

As the world watches the 6th day of Ukraine fighting Russia’s invasion, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the European Parliament in an emotional message. The country has shown time and again that it is an equal member of Europe, and he expressed his belief that Ukraine deserves to be a part of the EU.
"I believe that we, today, we're giving lives for the desire to be equal, as much as you are. We are giving away our best people," he said. "Nobody is going to break us. We are strong. We are Ukrainian."
"We have proven our strengths. We have proven that as a minimum we are exactly the same as you are," Zelenskyy added. "Prove that you are with us. Do prove that you will not let us go. Do prove that you indeed are Europeans."

EU Relaxes Entry Paperwork For Pets Travelling With Ukrainian Refugees
The tremendous courage of the President and citizens of Ukraine have inspired people, governments, and companies worldwide. There has been a massive outpour of support, with people mobilizing on social media, calling out false information, and getting together to aid Ukrainian civilians in the most meaningful ways.
Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, more than half a million civilians have fled Ukraine. The EU estimates that up to four million people may try to leave the country and has relaxed its rules on refugees, saying that the member states will welcome them with "open arms".
BBC states that refugees are crossing the borders to neighboring countries to the west — Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Moldova. Poland has so far taken in over 280K refugees and expects a further 50K to arrive every day. "Countries used to have time limits on how long refugees could spend in reception centers, but most are saying they are likely to waive them and that Ukrainians can stay in them for as long as they need to."

Governments also made essential and unprecedented decisions to assist Ukraine in its fight for freedom. From gathering resources to provide all possible help to agreeing on sanctions that are already weakening the Russian economy, even Switzerland has abandoned its historic neutral position on global wars to support Ukraine.
"Never since the second world war has the rights of one country been so violated by another. You cannot stand aside. To play into the hands of an aggressor is not neutral," the Swiss president, Ignazio Cassis, said. Switzerland stands in solidarity with Ukraine and hopes that sanctions will encourage the Kremlin to rethink its actions.

I would laugh, if it wasnt so depressing. What is happening in Palestine is now acceptable, whereas this is not? How can one be condemned and the other not? Why are the people of Palestine not supported in this manner when defending themselves, their lives and their property against attacks? Humanity is lacking in the world severely.
Other neutral countries such as Finland, Sweden, Austria, Ireland, and the Vatican also condemned the Russian war on Ukraine. Finland and Sweden, which are not part of NATO, announced they will send military aid to support the troops resisting an invasion by Russia.
"It’s the rebirth of a new Europe," Michael McFaul, a former U.S. ambassador to Russia, told NBC News. "It’s a historic shift. I think this will have major consequences moving forward for the future of Europe, for the future of the transatlantic alliance, for the future of NATO — just when all of those things were fraying."

Hackers from around the world joined the fight too by disrupting Russia’s digital infrastructure. The Independent reports that hacking groups such as Anonymous and the Cyber Partisans "have claimed responsibility for cyberattacks on Russia’s banks, state broadcaster RT, and a Belarusian rail network reportedly used to move troops from Russia to Ukraine."
"DDoS alone will not bring down a regime", one German Anonymous splinter group said, but "Putin, who is using hacker squads and troll armies against Western democracies, is getting a sip of his own bitter medicine". Their goal is to obtain information and "keep the Russian IT apparatus busy" so that Putin's hacker troops "cannot do anything in Ukraine or the West".

And if the missile goes to a nuclear reactor, well do I need to say more? No one in Europe is safe anymore. Putin is barking mad, he doesn't give a f**k about his people, not to say about others. Please, beg NATO to close the sky. THey don't hear us and we survived Chernobyl here and we know the consequences
I would like to see those Russians who are against the war to stage a nationwide strike. Gonna arrest us for not going to work? Good luck with that. NOT.

I was thinking the same thing. It's wild how the US will do spend millions helping fight a war on another continent... but the ppl south of us are fighting a war amongst themselves... fueled with guns THAT WERE BROUGHT INTO THEIR COUNTRY FROM THE US! And we can't even open our doors for them when the war that's going on is a war that is our fault. We are the main consumers of the drugs they're fighting over. We're the ones allowing them to transport weapons into their country and we're not allowing the innocent ppl so deal refuge in our home despite its being 85% our fault it's even going on.

In the digital age we don't even have to leave our countries to help send aid to other countries in peril now. 60% of the damage can be done in seconds just by pressing a few buttons on an app n making a phone call. Hopefully it helps the ppl on the ground fighting against the Russians and gives them the advantage they need to overpower the Russians. Imagine if things were like this back during WW2.... if we had the ability to speak to ppl thousands of miles away in seconds and to post what's going on straight to the rest of the world. These are times where the internet is a beautiful beautiful thing. I mean, s**t you've even got Elon musks dusty, greedy ass helping out.... that's a feat in itself.
In all the horror that is entailed here, it is fantastic to see a united front from so many people in so many countries (including some really brave Russians) protesting, standing against Putin, supporting Ukraine in every way possible. Maybe we have finally learned from history, and we will not let another war happen.
The lesson I take away, as an American, is i will not allow my government to get us into another unjustified war ever again. No more Iraqs. No more Afghanistans. We are not the world's police. I will not allow us to be like Russia.
I'm so glad someone has bothered to reflect on their own governments actions in other countries! so many of us in Asia and Middle East are afraid of the US, like Eastern Europeans are afraid of Russia or South East Asians of China. A Russian here. We`re been told this is not war, but a special military operation. We`re been told we`re not invading Ukraine, but protecting ourselves and Donbas from Ukrainian fascist. It`s all just lies, lies and more lies. We`re told that the Russian military attacks only Ukrainian military bases, warehouses and other important military locations. But we know from our indepentant media (wich gets banned here by the government), that civilians are getting injured and killed. It`s just so f*cked up. The government orded for special lessons to be held at schools, so the kids get explained what exacrtly "our heroic soldiers" are doing in Ukraine. Brainwashing us Russians since we`re young. Protestors all aroung Russia are getting arrested and beaten up. If you`re trying to donate to Ukrainian funds, your card gets blocked. For all those who are discussing Palestine here, and who, just like anti vaxxers, refuse to believe in the truth, this is for you: You may support ISREAL because you believe Palestine is the aggressor. Amnesty International has done a long investigation and proven that ISREAL is the aggressor. You may continue to blind yourself to the truth by still supporting ISREAL, but remember this: Let’s say that Palestine WAS the aggressor. Even in that case, do you believe innocent worshipers of Al Aqsa mosque (who were simply praying), non violent protesters, and children holding stones should be killed? That schools with little children in them, and hospitals and relief centers should be bombed? You keep talking about Hamas. If Hamas is the problem, deal with HAMAS. Keep innocents and children out if this. You are right to defend yourself from, and attack Hamas, but what right do you have to attack, kill, evict, imprison without trial, and torture innocent civilians, when Hamas is your problem?
Well said.....sadly for these people logic doesn't work. I see people saying the Russian people deserve to suffer because they support their government..ignoring the fact that 98% of them can't do anything to stop him.... also if people can stop their governments why have Americans not stopped theirs from attacking other countries??

While I'm very relieved the world is supporting Ukraine, I can't help but feel that the sanctions, military and financial aid, aren't going to stop Putin. He seems very happy to continue his invasion, and seems hell-bent on getting what he wants. And if he does - if he takes Ukraine and installs his own government - then what? A lack of global action against him, in this scenario, almost makes the world complicit, in my opinion. I don't have a military mind, and I know my opinion doesn't count for much, but the thought of him succeeding in taking Ukraine troubles me a great deal.

When this is over, I trust return of Russia to the world economy will be permitted only when certain conditions are met:- 1. War trials for all involved in starting this war 2. Institution of a real democratic government 3. Continuing repayment to Ukraine to repair the damage 4. Compensation for all Ukrainian deaths and injuries The above to be funded as much as possible by the oligarchs who benifitted so much under Putin. And I think it is about time Europe demanded the return of Kaliningrad.
yeah... because russian athletes, artists, business, factories, citizens are the ones to blame and to shame. In fact the invassion is 100% their fault and desicion, right? Let's ruin all russian's lifes! Give them every reason to hate the rest of the world. Treat them like good Hitler treated Jewish people. Start bullying, deporting, stealing, every russian people you can find. Very well done world. You should be proud.
I would imagine most rational folks would understand this is hapoening to them because of their leaders actions and direct their anger/hate at them. The ones that use thisbas a reason to hate the world will generally be those that already hated us. And it is absurb to compare this to how Hitler treated Jews. Until countries start rounding up Russians, putting them in camps and killing them there is no comparison. It is totally resonable not to do business with an authoritarian gov't that is invading another country. If Russia persists then the world will need to open their doors to Russians that want out but we can't keep funding Russian aggression.

Sounds pretty f*****g cowardly to me. Good luck to any Ukranians, sadly you're gonna need it.... and I don't have any experience of l iving under any of the other current leaders around Europe, but I would caution you to not trust a word that comes of Boris Johnsons mouth when he says he's with you.. because what he really means is your president shamed him and the rest of them all into action, action they weren't going to take if he'd not.
I'm afraid Russia will outlast all of this. "The West" as it is called, has a notoriously short attention span, and an even shorter tolerance for war. A couple of weeks from now Katie Price will get another lip filler or Kim Kartrashian will flash her twat on Instagram and the distractions will return us to our normal state - distracted and uncaring because it is not happening on our doorsteps.

And while some countries are not necessarily boots on the ground, as we can see, hitting wallets is just as effective. Just differently. Perhaps, the world which could not be brought together by a pandemic, can find we are not so far apart after all.
Sadly, today on the bus I witnessed nearly the opposite of this - a news report about the invasion of Ukraine came on the radio, and there was a group of kids who was laughing and asking "Why are they reporting about this? It's not happening here!" and I really wanted to slap them at that moment.
I wonder if any country will commit war crimes... Like Shrapnel weapons, Incendiary stuff, taking hostages, etc.
Yes they have as recently as September 2020/. For 3 months, The despotic regimes of Turkey and Azerbaijan eyeing Armenian lands that spanned 10,000 years attacked with Internationally banned weapons, banned shrapnels the latter was supplied by Israel during this attack among other military equipment and armaments, the government's explanation was , just business, it was about the millions they wanted) never mind that they came from a holaucost history right after our Genocide . the first one in the twentieth century where Armenians lost 1,5 million people when Turkey got rid of the Christian population, taking over the lands, the wealth that belonged to the Armenian people. After the Armenian architects built their palaces and Mosques (the Architects' names are still on those mosques, architects also got killed. The most recent war was also planned by Erdogan of Turkey to finish (in his own words The Genocide committed by his predecessor. Azerbaijan decapitated the Armenisoldiers &

I found a petition to write putin with a lowercase p to disrespect him. https://www.change.org/p/putin-not-putin
I personally will be using lowercase p whether this petition succeeds or not.

If numbers start from 460, 461... to 469 this jeans that product is made/packed in Russia. Belarusian products start with 481 (but i'm not 100% sure with this!). This works in Poland, but I guess it's universal.
People tried to do this to ban Isreali products and stuff...didn't work . People say they support a country or a cause until it means giving up their favourite stuff...few people actually go through with it...still we should spread awareness

Are you insinuating that Ukraine is the bad guy here???
