Artist Takes Art Exhibition To Another Level By Placing His Wooden Sculptures Right In The Sea

Latvian artist & designer Janis Straupe takes art exhibition to another level by placing his wooden sculptures right in the sea. Straupe is famous for his large scale art and “Rojal Art & Film Festival” in Latvia is a perfect event for exhibition like this.

You can sit by the sea, relax, watch films, enjoy the summer breeze and art at the same time. Sunsets and sunrises change the shades on sculptures, they never look the same, they are changing along with the sea. Images from sculpture “Carrot of Hindenburg” and “Mesozoic era”

I am going to take a wild guess and say the idea came from seeing dead trees in flooded fields. Because that's exactly what it looks like.
