Josie was kind enough to give Bored Panda an interview and told us more about what inspired her journey: “I was in a 3-year relationship. I lost myself within this relationship. It was very toxic. He left me 2 days after New Year’s Day, no reasoning behind it. He just simply didn’t want to be with me anymore. I was completely blindsided and this motivated me to start my weight loss journey. I wanted to get back at him and show him what he lost. But along the way, I found myself falling in love with fitness. And it was no longer a revenge body journey. It was a journey of self-love and bettering myself!”

Josie shares when she started to work out and more about her regime: “I began my journey 2 weeks after my breakup. I hired a personal trainer who taught me the basics. I ate healthier, worked out every day, and was just more physically active. I cut out fast food and I just built a healthier relationship with food.”
Her boyfriend of three years left her two days after New Year’s Eve

She also shared the hardest part about the weight loss journey: “The hardest part was realizing how much nicer people were to me as I lost the weight. When I was overweight, no one ever saw me. It was as if I was invisible and I didn’t exist. People just saw me for my weight. Society can be harsh sometimes. So as I lost the weight, it was mentally difficult seeing how much nicer people were to me.” She also shared that in this difficult time in her life, the thing that surprised her the most was her strength.
So she started working out, changed her diet, and was determined to lose the unwanted weight

Josie also shared some of her hobbies and what she does for a living: “Now my life completely revolves around fitness. I love fitness. It is now my passion. I am now a trainer and my goal is to help other women see their self-worth and achieve their fitness goals. One step at a time. I also love outdoor activities such as hiking!”
Soon, Josie started seeing results, but she wasn’t going to stop there

If you’ve ever wanted to lose weight or were just not happy with your body, Josie has some advice for you: “My advice would be: ‘ask yourself why you want to lose weight.’ Once you find the root reason, start by making changes in your daily routine. The hardest part is starting; once you start, you will fall in love with the process. But most of all, never let anyone or anything discourage you!”Josie told us that it took her about two years to lose 145 lbs naturally. She is now on the path to becoming a bodybuilder. Fitness and wellness have become her life and goal.
Josie continued to work hard and the final result is absolutely amazing

“It will all be okay. You are worthy You are beautiful and you don’t need anyone but yourself!” said Josie when asked what advice and encouragement she would give to her younger self.”
In the end, I lost all the weight because I wasn’t happy with myself. I was tired of being tired. I was tired of making excuses for myself. I’ve been overweight my entire life. It was time to do something good for myself. It’s not about being the most attractive or the skinniest. It’s about feeling comfortable under your own skin. And loving the person you see in the mirror. No matter what the number on the scale shows! My weight loss journey is not over. This is just the beginning. I am now training in hopes to become a bodybuilder and compete in a wellness physique competition!”
“Here to inspire, motivate, and help others achieve their goals!”

Josie now weighs 155 lbs (70 kg) and she couldn’t be happier to have achieved her goal

“No matter what journey you may be starting, whether it is a weight loss or career journey, always know that you’re capable of many things. You are worthy and you will achieve anything you set your mind to. Do what makes you happy. Do what fulfills you. This is your journey, not anyone else’s. Therefore, go at your own pace and don’t ever let anyone else tell you otherwise!
We need to normalize normal bodies. It’s okay if you have loose skin in your arms, it’s okay if your inner thighs are loose, it’s ok. Because you’re beautiful, that’s what makes you different. My weight loss journey started as a revenge body to get back at my ex, but along the way, I realized it’s not about him, it’s about me”

Don’t do something to benefit other people or effect other people, do it for yourself <3
Sometimes it's okay to do the right thing for the wrong reasons.
Load More Replies...These kind of stories make me cringe : the ex-boyfriend said she looks unhealthy and should lose some weight also because he isn't attracted to this unhealthy kind of body .. Boyfriend breaks up and then she finally sees she should lose weight and does exactly that.. And then she dare to say: “I was the girl that my ex didn’t want, so I became the girl he couldn’t have
