Das ist Captain Black. Er arbeitet in einem Shop für lebende Köder. Ich habe gesehen, wie er all die hungrigen Pelikane wegscheuchte. "Verdammte Vögel! Haut ab!" Dann verschwanden sie endlich. Dann hörte ich, wie er jemanden Namens Albert rief. "Albert! Wo bist Du?! Komm her!" Ich dachte Er wäre ein Mitarbeiter. Dann sah ich einen weiteren Pelikan rüberwatscheln. Ich dachte er wird auch verscheucht, aber Captain Black dreht sich zu Ihm. "Hey Albert. Iss dein Frühstück." Mir fiel dann auf, dass Albert einen kaputten Schnabel hatte und nicht mit den anderen Vögeln kämpfen konnte. Captain Black find an Ihn zu streicheln und per Hand zu füttern. "Erzähl das Niemandem, Sweetheart."

Hey, ich war hier, um ein Paket zuzustellen und beide Hunde sind in meinen Wagen gesprungen. Sie haben meine Lunchbox gefunden und ein Ei, Karotten und Kürbiskerne gegessen. Ich weiß nicht, ob Sie davon Magenprobleme bekommen können. Nur zur Information.

"This morning Jax and I were discussing his wild hair. I told him that he needed a haircut this weekend. He said that he wanted his head shaved really short so he could look like his friend Reddy. He said he couldn't wait to go to school on Monday with his hair like Reddy's so that his teacher wouldn't be able to tell them apart. He thought it would be so hilarious to confuse his teacher with the same haircut.

If this isn't proof that hate and prejudice is something that is taught I don't know what is. The only difference Jax sees in the two of them is their hair."

"My cousin, Emily, has a 10 year old son named Ryker. Ryker, who loves cats, was very excited to get his new lunchbox. Unfortunately because of its colors, or because it has cats, or both he was teased about it by other boys in his class. He even wanted to stop taking his lunch so he wouldn't be teased about it any longer.

I have decided, however, to stand with my little cousin and show him that a man can love whatever he wants and not be afraid to express that love.

So I have ordered the same lunchbox for myself and proudly carried it to work today at my large, conservative, corporate workplace. I've told anyone who asked the story behind my lunchbox and to a person, they all stand with Ryker too.

There's no one way to be a man. Men can be colorful. Men can be expressive. Men can be emotional and silly and gleeful.

I love my new lunchbox and I hope Ryker and all the other boys out there can see that their passion and self-expression is never something to be ashamed of."
