I picked up my pencils as a young Dutch girl and always loved to paint cute and whimsical critters and creatures! I started my freelance career as an artist in 2012, mainly selling custom watercolour paintings and illustrations. One day, an unfortunate but happy accident happened...
A little drop of blue watercolour paint fell on the painting mount (border) of a commission I was working on. I made that little drop of paint into a tiny flower, and a new habit was born! I started to experiment and today you can rarely find one of my paintings that don't show any illustrated details or text on the mount! That little drop of paint helped shape my signature trademark as an artist. Embrace your mistakes!
