Let’s start with introductions

Corbin Maxey is a wildlife expert, who’s been nationally recognized and has appeared as a presenter on numerous late night talk shows as well as news outlets and more. He runs a small reserve in Idaho that’s home to over 30 exotic rescues. Including the famous alligator duo Soni and Chompers. (Team Chompers!) I personally like him because he clearly loves and cares for his animals.

Believe it or not, at the age of twelve, he founded the Cyprus Hill Reptile Reserve in Meridian, Idaho. An organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of animals. With 55 acres of land, he has helped countless animals and countless to come. In fact, Soni the alligator was actually rescued from a teenage boy, who cruelly kept the poor thing indoors for 2 years. So long the gator’s skin was cracked. After her rescue, Soni hid in her pool for 2 weeks, barely coming out. Now, Soni lives with Chompers in their Alligator House.
Why you should support him

Well, ya see, animals, especially exotic ones, are a handful. They all have needs. And to accommodate those needs, he needs money. If you want to help Soni, Chompers, Napoleon, Irwin, Happy and the rest of the bunch, you should donate to his reserve, which goes back into caring for them. He also has a merch store, which he also uses to care for his animals.

I’ve bet you’ve come to this article interested, and now you wanna hear about his animal army? Well, here’s the story!
Shere Khan: One of Corbin’s first rescues and the longest resident at his reserve, he was found in an abandoned apartment.
Topaz: A blue-tongued skink, this fan-favorite came to the reserve after his old owners didn’t know how to care for him properly.
Buddy: A Burmese Python, he was rescued after his old owner’s home was destroyed due to arson.
Savy: A Savannah Monitor, he came to the reserve after his old owner’s passing.

I can only hope I’ve piqued your interest. Now, obviously, I haven’t convinced EVERYONE yet. But I think he’s legit. And you can find out too, he documents his time at his reserve on his YouTube channel.
Now, of course, don’t get your hammers and wood-working tools out of the shed, only reputable experts on wildlife and exotic animals with a stable income should be having exotic reserves. But if you want to help out too, there are many ways you can. Why not volunteer at an animal shelter? Whatever you do, I’m sure it’ll be good.
Thanks for reading and have a good one!
