Wild Plush – A Metamorphosis

Wild plush is a series about old plush toys, their story and history, about their old homes where they weren’t wanted anymore. They were abandoned, thrown away, torn apart, left behind. It’s the story of them surviving, evolving, getting stronger… wilder. I created them as fragments of me, each and everyone of them. I can feel them. I myself had to leave home very early and being alone in a new situation i had to adapt, grow stronger and wilder. All of them are safe and sound with me now. I am their shelter, but they are also looking for new loving forever homes.

Fridolin was found, unwanted and with bad and unhappy history but he also evolved and found his own way to cope with life. Animals are his best friends, he is bit afraid of humans but does find confidence after spending some time with you (maybe you have a pet at home? He will trust you much easier then)

Elliot, the big wild bear is the biggest one of the wild plush series. He doesn’t want to show what’s behind his mask. Don’t force him, it could end badly.

Teddy loves drawing and painting. He doesn’t want to talk much, so little is known about where he comes from. He enjoys total silence, drawing and a glass of wine from time to time. He thinks that people are strange, so do i. If you feel the same you two will come along just splendid.

Gustav’s Story might be the most touching of all. When he was very small he was thrown into the lake, close to the house he lived, from the neighbours children. And this actually being sad enough, the really sad thing about it was, that no one ever recognized that he went missing. Living in the water for such a long time, Gustav is strange but strong. You can learn a lot from him.

Henriette the paranoid sheep is, well, paranoid! I can totally relate to that, which is why i love her very much. She makes the cutest of sounds, when you gently squeeze her. She comes to your home, the paranoid little girl she is, with a lot of eyes watching her.

    Every move you make…

Clarence is my hommage to the real Clarence. He was a bear with a very big heart, loving his family very very very much until this one day where he was teared into pieces from them. I put his head on a piece of wood, that i painted with all my love, together with his old shirt and the sad message.

Edison is obsessed with the idea that he is a marionette. (he is not, but don’t tell him, if you have a heart) He was found in the attic of an old house between a lot of old puppets and marionettes (at least we know where it comes from). Edison never saw daylight his entire former life, because it was so dark up there. Now he prefers the night over the day.

How did it get so late so soon?

I was raised in a very small Austrian town that is surrounded by mountains and forests. Being the only child in the neighbourhood, I soon discovered my deep connection with strange things. Be it the spooky old cat-lady next door, baby frogs in the forest, invisible pigs in the cellar, and much more, I found myself bonding with entities and fantasies.
