There is no denying that negativity gets clicks, so some rather short-sighted executives push their news teams to focus on just that. Unfortunately, this often means that your morning scroll turns into a sequence of despair and fear. But the truth is, there are good things happening every single day, even if you don't hear about it.
The “Global Positive News” Instagram account is dedicated to just that, wholesome, uplifting and constructive stories that are happening now. So if you’ve had a bad day, get comfortable as you scroll through, upvote your favorites and be sure to share your thoughts in the comments below.

Sad... didn't even give her name. It's Chief Kachindamoto btw. She did far more than just stop the child marriages. She broke a bunch of the sexual initiation camps for these kids and has been re-educating the people on the harm all of this is doing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theresa_Kachindamoto
The fact that a lot of news is downright negative has not escaped journalists and specialists. Unfortunately, since the average reporter or writer doesn’t have editorial control, however, there have emerged a number of new philosophies of how to help people read the news without feeling a constant wave of doom.
While sorting by "positive news” is one way, some journalists believe that it does end up limiting what you see. A more academic approach, taken by some publications, is to focus on constructive news.
Oh, that's so sweet and thoughtful of the tape owning person searching for you. I bet 9 of 10 would have thrown away that ole thing...
Constructive news doesn’t just focus on wholesome or uplifting stories, but on problems while also immediately discussing their solutions. This way the reader is still informed of the issues of the day, but is not left with a lingering feeling of hopelessness. Of course, these sorts of stories still tend to take longer to write.
THIS!!! This is what excess money should be used for. Doing good
After all, describing the solution normally means reaching out to experts and specialists and getting their input. This takes a lot of time, so it’s not a useful approach when it comes to breaking news. But if you are feeling like you do need more positive vibes while still keeping yourself informed, it’s a good idea to explore constructive journalism outlets.
Love to all people who give love to the animals who need help most
Children can have the most beautiful view on life (until life ruins things)
Morgan's Wonderland! I just found out about it recently and plan on driving there with my kids when they open again for the season (oldest is autistic and it's supposed to be very sensory friendly), I hear awesome things about it!
Taylor and Drew Deras, are married nurses who work in the NICU at Methodist Women's Hospital in Omaha, NE. In May 2021, a baby girl named Ella was born prematurely at 23 weeks at their hospital. Taylor cared for Ella in the NICU for 8 months as she faced serious health challenges. + In December 2021, Ella became a ward of the state and the Derases decided to become her foster parents. They cared for her after she was discharged. + On November 18, 2022, National Adoption Day, the couple officially adopted Ella. Today, Ella is thriving, with her well-being improving through weekly speech therapies and additional treatments. + "I loved her as my patient, and then once we became foster parents, I loved her as my own child," Taylor commented. "Now, she's walking and talking and meeting developmental milestones that a 2-year-old would do. And she'll start preschool in the fall."
Sometimes a little gesture can mean so much. You don't know how much a nice act can affect someone
Excellent child for asking politely, excellent neighbor for sharing kindly!!
Much more worthwhile work than hosting I'm a celebrity, get me outta here!
Might also want to do a DNA test to rule out being her husband's twin. 🤣
I don’t know ASL, but used to have a deaf gentleman in my restaurant every other week. He always sat in my section and got a burger but had to point and write down on a piece of paper how he liked it, since he wanted to try different things every time (we were a fancy burger restaurant with multiple fancy ingredients and he was a foodie!). We servers decided to take the time to learn some basic ASL greetings and how to ask how he liked the burger and “is the food good?” “How was your day?” Plus typical responses, etc 😊 It took us weeks to learn but he was really happy when we finally felt confident and took the time to stop by and chat with him. He even taught me some new words when I wasn’t sure what he was saying. It was a really sweet human interaction. I moved away years ago but I hope he’s doing so well 😊 because of him I remember some basic ASL and I’ve luckily been able to ask someone else in trouble “are you ok? Do you need help?” before using an app to continue translating and get them the help they needed. If I had one genie wish, it would be to be able to speak and understand all sign language - ASL, BSL, etc etc :)

Why on earth are you trying to reply to a Reddit screenshot that was posted to Instagram and then copied here? What part of you actually thought the original poster would actually ever see your reply?

Omg 🥹 I work in the cheapest hotel in my remote rural town - but we have a generator and the power goes out often here. We often use the generator to run the oven and make a bunch of free pizza so we can make a lil buffet table for our hotel guests because they have nowhere else to get food 🥹 (also we run the hotel liquor store off the generator too haha so everyone is happy - I’ve definitely given slices away to non-hotel guest customers who were cold and hungry)

I think BP cutting down longer multiple-entry articles and the stuffing them behind a paywall is odious and makes me want to not visit Bored Panda.
