Depending on where you live, midwinter can be a pretty cold and dark time (drink your vitamin D!) so it’s important to actually take some time to think about how to keep your sanity from day to day. Spend time with loved ones, eat some hearty comfort food and make sure to actually look at things that don’t just stress you out.

Good man. We all make mistakes, some more serious than others. But this man did his time and paid his dues. He deserves a fresh start.
They definitely have feelings and can read ours too! Reminds me of this one time I was having a heated argument with my parents, involving screaming back and forth. There was a coffee table in between us. My cat who was sleeping in a different room walked in, got on the coffee table and started crying/screaming loudly while looking at me. She’s never been that loud and she definitely has never done something like that before. Her screams were so effective that we actually stopped arguing and ended up totally distracted discussing her unusual behaviour. I’m not sure if she was “saving” me thinking I was in trouble or saving my parents but it sure did work!
Similar situation with my son, but not nearly as bad; the doctors let me be the one to constantly help him re-establish his breathing. You're not ever the same after something like that. I almost felt like I had stolen something from his Mom, but she needed her recovery also.
Load More Replies...My daughter was born 7 weeks early. I was told she wouldn't live through the night. A pediatrician (not mine) stayed with her in the hospital for days. My daughter is now 40.
My parents did similar for me. Born 6 weeks early. NICU wasn't a thing yet. My tummy couldn't handle 4 oz of milk. UCLA told my parents to allow me to die at home. They sat up for weeks feeding me a tablespoon at a time..until my tummy caught up. I'm 60 now.
❤️ parent dedication and love is super powerful 💪 glad you made it!
Load More Replies...My mom went into labor with me, over 3 months early. My mom was admitted to an excellent hospital in Boston, where they tried to stop the contractions/labor from progressing. She was in labor with me for 8 days and I was born in a clean bedpan, with no one else but her roommate, in the room. I was extremely underdeveloped and rushed to NICU, weighing 1 kg/ 2 lbs, 2.5 oz and 13 in/ 33 cm long. I was so small, that even preemie clothes were too big and I wore Cabbage Patch Dolls clothes. I'll be 40, later this year. 💪🏻
Saving a life is never a waste of time and neither is trying to save a life. Well done, sir!
Just take your negative, repetitive self off the internet for today and reevaluate whether or not what you have to say is doing anything good or useful, you miserable twat.
Load More Replies...I honestly believe most children need a pet. It teaches them so much, and not just about things like responsibility, but about unconditional love.
I have short term, sometimes i cant remember my husband, but i always know i love that man, cause when the mind does't remember, the heart will
Wakanda Forever, and GNU Chadwick. A man is never truly dead so long as his name is spoken.
Not to sound morbid, but I hope I just seize up one day while I still have my wits, freedom, and mobility.
When i had a Dane we got a wee hound pupper. Loki would carry it around in his mouth. I never thought i'd have to learn the command, "Loki, spit the puppy out!"
So many duplicate stories, even one triplicate! Still stamping BP logo on the unknowing "contributions" of other posters I see...
I've actually not seen a few of these on BP before - you guys are doing great work considering that you are now trying to charge people for this. And the duplicates at the end? Just another reason I would LOVE to pay for an account on BP.
There is a line from a country song: "if all you go by is the evening news, your faith in all mankind would be the first thing you lose." Daily we are bombarded by bad news, acts of extreme violence; growth in the rate of poverty, etc. We are told our country (USA) is hopeless divided and hate is on the rise. I've spent over 30 years working with victims of abuse and trauma. I long, long ago removed my rose-colored glasses. Yet, I still believe most people are good and that given the opportunity, most of us will react with kindness and fairness. Seeing the good and not always the bad can empower all of us to act from a place of love and acceptance.
If only there were new pieces of good. This makes it seem like we have only 50 good things to recycle for years.
Load More Replies...Most of these are so old - too old. I know some people may not have seen them before but most of us have, many times.
I had to stop reading these were all so old. Bored panda has access to an entire internet and all they can do is recycle their same old material?
To those complaints about duplicate BP posts? I've not seen this one before and please keep in mind that new members join all the time so they probably have never seen them either.
