Kind of cheating since the pretty pink things (bracts) are just pretending to be flowers. The actual bougainvillea flowers are tiny and hide inside those bracts.

:0 I used to have one!! But I was bad at taking care of it :< the instructions said to take out black pieces, so I did. But they came like everyday and there was hardly any plant left once I took them out

I have one of these in my yard, too, and also Rose of Sharon, in various colors, like in the post below this one. Each summer I have hundreds of japanese beetles devour these blooms, though. I hate to use bug dust on them, but I've had to do that in the past. Do you have probs with those beetles, too? Any suggestions? thanx
