of course i realize dogs at one point were wild.... my point exactly! why on earth would we domestic MORE animals that are meant to be wild when we don't even care for the domestic animals that we have??....the fact that this fox was "bread for its color" is ridiculously selfish. We don't care for the animals we humans have "domesticated" as it is...why on earth do humans continue to do that! ps....the dog on my lap is ellie. the love of my life and a pit bull....only 1 in 600 pitties are adopted into homes where they spend their entire life.....meaning, that we've domesticated animals and ultimately end up killing them anyway. you don't have to agree with me.....i'm an animal rights activist....you know how crazy we are right??

what do you think dog breeders do? when they breed an undesirable (i.e. a bichon with a pink nose instead of the desired black nose)...they are put down....humanely mind you.....but killed anyway. As as activist I am against all forms of breeding....dogs, cats, foxes, llamas.......if you really look at it breeding is about money period...i feel like all breeders are irresponsible.... Don't buy while others die.

But Lorra, she is clearly an activist that is active in activities of adopting. What aren't you understanding. We're not domesticating them, they've BEEN domesticated. No one is letting anyone down, no one has an obligation to adopt simply because pets or animals are in shelters. By that logic, we SHOULD adopt children that are in homes or we're letting them down (obviously disregarding the domestication aspect, but the premise stands). You seem to be a hypo activist.

BSL is rooted in ignorance!! Ellie is the love of my life :) Was rescued by the Humane Society from a fighting ring. She is the most lovable animal I've ever cared for.

So all animals that are born through mills or abuse should be left for dead so we don't contribute to the vicious cycles of puppy mils etc? That "bimbo"saved that beautiful animals life and gave it one of love. "activists" are very high and mighty, seeming to care for the animals but in reality, you pick and choose yourself...hypocrisy ;)

Nothing admirable at all. For one, she is supporting these awful breeders, who are more ruthless than dog breeders. They steal the pups from the mothers when they are only 2 weeks old! To cut the bond with its mother, to force a bottle of formula into its mouth, and to make it bond with a human handler instead. If you did that to a human baby, you'd end up in jail.

Marshall Davies, if you had actually read the article you would know this fox was never intended to live in the wild, it was bred to be a pet. To all the people saying she adopted the fox, nowhere does it say that. I would bet money that she paid quite a bit for the fox. If she hadn't had this fox someone else would have, same as going to a breeder and buying a puppy. She hasn't done anything admirable.
