Where Would You Spend A Year On Mars?

Choose your landing site and map it for future astronauts. This is a selection of the 47 candidate “Exploration Zones” for NASA’s 2035 human mission to Mars. All Exploration Zones are 200 km (124 miles) in diameter and include landing and launching sites, a habitat for a crew of four, four rovers, a greenhouse for farming, power zone, zones for scientific research (this is why they go there), and resource zones (water, construction materials etc.). The crew will spend a year at this site and will return in 2036/37. Start exploring!
