Pink tried the same thing with her daughter Willow

I'm inclined to agree that people are being way to sensitive about this. This isn't Carrie. Nobody got hurt and everyone gets candy.
i disagree, i think this whole thing jimmy started is horrible. all it is doing is teaching kids its ok to lie to people close to you, steal from them, cause them suffering for a laugh. i mean how much distrust has been brought since this whole thing has started? yeah its all "light hearted" and no one was really hurt. But emotions of a child are extremely important in development. people just don't seem to get it that these kinds of things if done to a maladjusted child the end results could be devastating to their development as a human being. Every action has an effect. We should be choosing our actions better, not causing suffering for a laugh. that is my problem with this dumb fad.

I don't mind the prank and I think kids need to learn anyway that sometimes, unhappy things happen and you just need to deal with it. That being said, I would not do this prank myself because I'd be worried the kid would get the wrong lesson, as in "if I don't consume now, later it may not be there anymore". I'd be worried it implants an habit of instant gratification, less inclined to save for the rainy days etc ... Am I putting to much thoughts into it? Yeah, I know ....
I'm frankly glad my mom never did anything of this caliber when I was younger. As an autistic kid (who's now an autistic adult), I couldn't take a joke or prank. At all.
For a second there I thought Channing Tatum and Pink were a couple now!
hey you know how everyone hates the "its just a prank bro" stuff? what is this but exactly that idea done to children? would you push your loved pet down a hill? you think they understand you were just having fun?
Pushing any being down a hill is just stupid. That't NOT a prank, that's a form of bullying! All these kids had happen to them, was having their candy taken off them for a little while.

serious issues are caused by children who grew up being taught the wrong things.

What I have a problem with is the videoing and sharing, literally with anyone in the world who bothers to look, a video of a child who could not consent to it and can in no way retract it when they're older if they wanted to. That applies to so many videos, not just these ones.
weeell.. I think it's in a few years these kids probably have a good hearted laugh about this. But I don't like the fact that they did this just for the sake of a 'challenge' and also just to share the entire world about 'that time you prank your kids', the 'innocent prank' kinda lose its charm there.
I don't like practical jokes and don't understand why people would think it is funny to tell kids something very disappointing and record their actions. Just be nice to your kids :-}
I used to do that with my 5 year old cousin but he knew i didn't eat all of it
For the celebrities' kids I think there are a lot more factors than just us and our kids. For our kids I think this sort of teasing is helpful. Joking is not the same as telling a lie, and the joke is revealed in a short time. People will tease your kids at some point in their life. Better they learn about it gently from their parents who have no malicious intent than in the cruel world where he/she now believes Billy did wipe his nose on her candy. Since your kid now knows how this sort of thing works instead of going into a tearful tantrum and calling you from their toddler phone he/she can confidently look into Billy's eyes and pop the candy into his/her mouth. And hope there really isn't boogers on it.
TEASING = BULLYING It isn't cute. It isn't funny. It is MEAN. You are teaching your child that it is acceptable to make someone upset for FUN. Speaking as a 60 year old man who was always the smallest kid in my grade, KNOCK IT THE HELL OFF, before you raise a little MONSTER.
They didn't really eat the candy, so in retrospect it might be teaching them that taking something that doesn't belong to you sucks.

My autistic son wouldn't care! He would say, "Whatever!" If HE knows better than to act devastated over some candy, THESE kids should know better!!
If my parents told me they ate all the candy, I would look at them in surprise and ask, confused, "I thought you don't like candy?"
OMG I want a child like kimmels!! Damn why are people so angry about this whole situation sheesh!
I don't mind the parents pranking their kids, what I dont like is them sharing it to the world to see.
I don't think they're awful parents but it's not my kind of humor. To all of those accusing people who disapprove of the prank, settle down. Yes, bad things happen in life. Now take a moment and absorb that... We don't need to create bad experiences for our children because bad experiences are already a part of life.
Pink's daughter was awesome. But why did dude have to tell her he got drunk? What kind of role model is that?
please, anyone who says this is a cruel and teaches kids to lie a harm the ones you love... please take a look into the mirror... All parents lie to their kids, and for the religious ones out there, i do believe one of your commandments is, Thou Shall NOT Lie. SO, let's look back at all that you've lied about... SANTA CLAUS, THE TOOTH FAIR, THE EASTER BUNNY, ROVER WENT TO LIVE ON A BIG FARM WITH HIS FARM ANIMAL FRIENDS, IF YOU EAT A WATERMELON SEED, ONE WILL GROW IN YOUR STOMACH. so, yeah... how 'bout we all just take a chill pill and laugh.
"all parents lie" - don't make your own behaviour a fact.

yeah! why not toss them in the forest and make them fight for their life! let them see that the world is cruel and dirty place full of liars. that will teach them.
