I've been at my current job for 30 years. The "boss" is the spouse of the doctor and is probably the world's biggest a**hole. He thinks he's the smartest guy in the room. He's definitely a huge narcissist. I've only stayed because I'm very fond of the doctor. She lets him run everything. I recently worked a lot of extra hours and my paycheck did not reflect that. I had to ask about it and was blown off with the "we'll talk about it later" speech. I was humiliated and I'm literally done at this point. I hate to suddenly leave when we're short handed and I don't want to punish my coworkers but I'm at the end of my rope. My heart is broken because I've been there so long (even before him) and now I feel forced away because I'm not going to be sided with over a spouse. There's also been some "fraudulent" activity on his part that was brought up but he's still there. This evil monster uses gaslighting to turn everything to his advantage. I'm so upset that I'm being forced to give up my long career because of him.
