I have a poetry book that belonged to my great grandmother, who I was blessed to know for 5 years of my life. When she died it was given to me, and I only open it to read when I'm really sad to preserve the smell because it is so comforting to me.

Yeah same. I think we may have inhaled too many fumes over the years...

My mom’s closet. I used to go in there all the time just to smell her clothes when I was a little kid...until she accused me of sneaking in there to look at the Christmas gifts.

After my mom passed away, I would sit by her wardrobe with the door open. OMG, I miss her beyond words.

Rocks. Especially when rubbed quickly between my hands or slightly dampened. Such a nice, earthy smell!

Old record section books at courthouses and libraries. The books where land grants, marriage records, birth records, and court-related documents are kept. The old type of books that you have to wear a cloth glove to touch.

Everything. I whenever I touch something I discreetly sniff my hands/fingers to see if they smell of whatever I've just touched.
If that wasn't weird enough I smell my nail cuttings before I throw them away.
