What If … The Events Of My Favorite Film “Kin-Dza-Dza” Would Not Take Place On Plyuk, But In The Star Wars Universe, On Tatooine?
“Kin-Dza-Dza!” – Soviet two-part tragicomedy in the genre of dystopia, filmed by Georgy Danelia at Mosfilm in 1986. The tape influenced modern Russian-speaking culture.
The plot of “Kin-dza-dza!” based on a specific relationship between the inhabitants of an extraterrestrial civilization and two lost earthlings, who happened to be on the planet Plyuk, a desert planet.
The rather harsh customs of the inhabitants of the planet are most likely dictated by the harsh climatic conditions, where there is not enough water, food and other things, in the world of a bitter cataclysm. The laws by which the inhabitants of the Kin-dza-dza galaxy live are similar to the customs of wild tribes leading a nomadic lifestyle.
I thought, what if … the events of the film were not taking place on Plyuk, but in the Star Wars universe, on Tatooine? I thought, I thought … and I did!
I took frames from these films and combined them in Photoshop, keeping the meaning of what is happening as much as possible.

Gotcha!
I remember watching "Kin-Dza-Dza" as a kid, on our microscopic black and white TV set. I found it pretty depressing back then, but I should really re-watch it, now that I'm pushing 40. Good job, in any case!
