Here’s 50 Important Things That Have Happened Since Putin Decided To Unleash Hell On Ukraine
Russia invaded Ukraine last week.
Putin's devastating attack on the European democracy of 44 million people came by air, land, and sea, but as the number of casualties climbs higher and higher, logistical failures and fierce Ukrainian resistance continue to frustrate the Russian advance.
Meanwhile, the international reaction has been swift and possibly more severe than the Kremlin has expected, inflicting serious damage on the country's economy.
Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has just warned Russian forces to save their lives and retreat as he said Ukrainians are standing firm in the fight against their army.
To illustrate the latest developments, here's a list of posts from all over the internet that shed light on this brutal conflict.

Western intelligence officials repeatedly said over the weekend that Russian forces have encountered "stiffer than expected" resistance from an outmanned and outgunned Ukrainian military.
As a result, Russia has thus far failed to take key cities across Ukraine, including the capital Kyiv. On Sunday, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled a Russian advance on a strategic airfield near Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city, which has been under near-constant attack.
However, the situation on the battlefield could change very quickly as Russian forces keep up their assault. They still greatly outnumber Ukrainian forces, and Russia continues to maneuver its units into position around major urban centers.
"This is how Poland is welcoming refugees from Ukraine at train stations and they spent whole night there too - with food, water, clothes, cars, accommodations, medical and psychological help. It’s not government funded- these are people spending own money and time."
A senior US defense official reportedly said on Sunday that Russia has only used two-thirds of the total combat power applied to the mission, leaving a significant amount of forces available to press the offensive.
And on Monday, a miles-long convoy of Russian military vehicles was bearing down on the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, while intelligence also suggests Belarus is prepared to join the Russian invasion.
I don't think you can steal a tank from soldiers enthusiastically pursuing an invasion. I wonder what percentage of the Russian army are following orders simply because they're scared of the consequences of disobeying them.
In case anyone was confused like I was. I hadn't heard the news from overnight. "Belarus will reportedly allow Russia to position nuclear weapons in its country, a report stated Sunday night—which is early Monday morning in Eastern Europe. ... 'Belarus will renounce its non-nuclear and neutral status, allowing Russia to place nuclear weapons on its territory, as a result of the referendum held today,' the Kyiv Independent reported."
"Ukrainian Soldiers Spotted A Freezing Puppy Alone Outside, And Took Him Into Their Post. He Now Stands Guard For Them. They've Named Him Rambo."
Putin, who probably thought Ukrainians would greet his tanks with flowers, might have misjudged not only the country's ability and will to defend itself, but also just how hard a line the international community would take against Russia in the face of an invasion.
For years, the Russian president has faced very little pushback from the West over his annexation of Ukraine's Crimea peninsula, his brutal support for the Syrian regime, and aggression in Georgia.
"Lviv based Pravda brewery switches from making beer to making Molotov cocktails. The brewery announced the plans after Ukraine’s Defense Ministry instructed civilians to make Molotov cocktails to resist invading Russian forces. The label says ‘Putin is a d*ckhead'"
He's at the right side at this moment. According to sources, "They will have access to the fastest satellite internet system ever created, which Russia cannot disable fully without cyber attacking foreign data centers." #wesupportukraine
All their strong words aside, Western countries still bought gas from Russia, offered a safe haven to its rich oligarchs, and retained relatively normal diplomatic relations with Moscow.
But this time, the Western world and its allies are united like never before. From unprecedented sanctions that are already hurting the Russian economy to international sport slowly departing from the regime, even Switzerland will forego its famous neutrality.
That must hurt, when your own country acts this way.
"Yesterday, I posted a picture of a young Ukrainian couple who married the day Russia invaded their country. Today, Yaryna, 21, posted this picture on her Facebook page, proudly displaying the AK-47 assault rifles, received from the government, so she and her husband Sviatoslav, 24, can join the resistance and defend their country."
"Latvian news anchor's sweater says: Russian warship go f*ck yourself"
"Russia's attack is an attack on freedom, an attack on democracy, an attack on the civil population, and an attack on the institutions of a free country. This cannot be accepted regarding international law, this cannot be accepted politically, and this cannot be accepted morally," Swiss Federal President Ignazio Cassis said.
"To play into the hands of an aggressor is not neutral. Having signed the Geneva convention of human rights, we are bound to humanitarian order. Other democracies shall be able to rely on Switzerland; those standing for international law shall be able to rely on Switzerland; states that uphold human rights shall be able to rely on Switzerland."
By Sunday, four days after the Russian attack began, at least 200,000 Ukrainians (mostly children, women, and elders), had entered Poland. Men considered fit for military service are currently not allowed to leave the country.
However, estimates by the United Nations and refugee organizations say the number of people who want to flee the Russian invasion can be as high as 4 to 7 million. How many will actually try to cross Ukraine's borders depends entirely on how the war develops.
"Road service employees are dismantling road signs across Ukraine in order to complicate navigation for the invading Russian troops"
"Azerbaidjan based fuel company, SOCAR, is offering FREE gas for Ukrainian ambulances and SES"
"Massive protests against occupation of Ukraine in St. Petersburg, despite thousands of arrests"
However, experts think it's certain that arrivals will far exceed the so-called "refugee summer" of 2015, when about 1 million refugees and asylum-seekers arrived in Central Europe (primarily Germany) from Syria's war zone.
But the European Union promised that all war refugees from Ukraine will be accepted into its territory.
"It's war in Europe again for the first time, and that is also leading to a different way of thinking among member states," German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser said at a meeting with her European counterparts in Brussels, calling it a "total paradigm shift."
"Tbilisi, Georgia 26.02.2022 Second day of non-stop protest. We are still here. Ukraine please stay strong! Слава Україні!"
Make me cry! My prayers are with you all!! Please don't let evil win this one,! In Jesus'Name, don't let it win, Father God. Amen.
"I Think This About Somes Up The Performance Of The Russian Army Thus Far."
Laugh we may, but it won't be Putin that feels it. It will be all the ordinary Russian people that are suddenly hit with useless currency and shops running out of food. Putin has millions, if not billions, salted away and a huge yacht to live on if things get hairy. He is your typical movie villain. Though the world, it seems, is all out of movie heroes to bring him down. Except Zelenskyy. We can hope while there is hope. I wish the world could do more but until that changes GO UKRAINE! We're with you.
This. Times a thousand. Even my hubby said, "Wow, no wonder Poles are so paranoid about Russia," and we're married 30 years, he's met the family, etc. It took a freaking invasion of Ukraine to get the West to wake up... :-(
Evelyn Farkas, who served as deputy assistant secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia from 2012 to 2015, thinks that Putin’s endgame is nothing short of a revanchist imperialist remaking of the globe to take control of the entire former Soviet space.
"He has complete disregard for international law, norms and human rights and will only be stopped by maximum economic, political and military pressure," Farkas told Politico. "Russia is ... a rogue state on par with North Korea and Iran. Now, it is our obligation to protect the Ukrainian people and government, to do better in terms of helping them secure their airspace and to launch an active insurgency."
In addition, Farkas believes the West must slap the toughest sanctions on Russia. "We can blunt the impact to allies and partners dependent on Russian oil and gas by launching a Berlin airlift of fuel and pulling out all the stops to avoid this war from spreading to NATO territory and becoming a world war."
"Organizers report over 100,000 demonstrators in Berlin, Germany against the war"
"Vasyl Lomachenko, One Of The Best Boxers On The Planet, Has Returned To Ukraine To Join The Military. The Two Time Olympic Gold Medalist And Five Time World Champion Will Serve In The Territorial Defense Battalion Of His Hometown Of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi."
"Ukrainian man removing a landmine from the road with his bare hands (Berdyansk, Ukraine)"
Lithuanian women try to appeal to the Russian mothers, to not send their kids to massacre
"Ukranian Embassy in Dc"
The Ukrainian man says: "Are you guys broken down?" to which the Russian officers replied: "Out of fuel."
The Ukrainian man asked: "Can I tow you back... to Russia?"
The Russian army officials then laugh at the man's question.
"Do you know where you're going?" the Ukrainian man follows up with.
Russian officers: "No, no...[inaudible].
"To Kyiv, damn it, f*** off...what do they say on the news?"
The Ukrainian man hits back with: "Well, while everything is on our side, yours and prisoners surrender well...because the boys also do not know where they are going?
"And I asked the whole column, people like you: no one knows where they are where they are going."
We need to come together and help these people! Every little bit helps. As someone on BP said "Tiny droplets make the ocean mighty!"
"In Kiev A Guy Just Kept Is Normal Routine And Went For A Bike Ride Surrounded By Tanks."
Quick note for everyone: Russia pronounces Kiev "kyev," while Ukraine pronounces it "keev." So pronounce it as "keev."
I am in Azerbaijan as an ex-pat and am really scared. We are literally right under Russia, and they have control of our gas pipeline. However, there have been protests in support of Ukrain downtown, and we have sent humanitarian planes. Being a neighbor isn't hard if fücking scary.
💖 my thoughts are with you and all impacted by Putin's hostility. I'm so sorry.

I think the benefit of today is global technology. About half the world has internet access and can see everything happening in real time. No more waiting days ir weeks for news about updates. The whole world is now watching you commit a crime, not just your neighbors.

Exactly, most Americans just think Trump is crazy and hate him for being such a terrible person. Don’t hate all Americans. Hate trump

I can’t go through the media without seeing the invasion. It was all the sudden. He destroyed everything. He hurt so many. The media fool us. We could only sit and stare as gloom looms the area. I can only pray to those and hope that everything settled soon. #PrayForUkraine

He is victimizing his people as well as the Ukrainians, the blame lies at his feet alone. I have heard too many stories of Russian citizens breaking down and crying uncontrollably BECAUSE so many thoughtless reporters are saying RUSSIA. I want the people of Russia to know their POS dictator is solely responsible for this madness. For everyone else, check Red Cross and other humanitarian aid organizations, they are ramping up lists of needs and asking for help. Stay safe
I do feel bad for the civilian Russians who didn't want this. They will suffer & didn't ask for it either. How sad 😔
What's the connection of your post with Russia's invasion to Ukraine?
