One’s bedroom is the reflection of his or her personality, but also a reflection of one’s beliefs and financial status. When it comes to children, their bedrooms are their small universe, where they can be anyone, as they dream. At least, this is what it should be – the reality is very cruel for some kids, as photographer James Mollison illustrated in his photos. He wanted to represent the poverty some children suffer, but he didn’t wanted to have a series of plain portraits, so he come up with the idea of photographing children’s bedrooms, which say more than the kids can say on their own.
