Whether we're talking about the subreddit Crappy Design or the Instagram account Ugly Irish Houses, the Internet seems obsessed with tasteless crimes against aesthetics and functionality. If you are too, the Twitter account "Cursed Architecture" is right up your alley.

Its hellish content includes strange angles, melting paint, vaguely threatening toilets, stairs that lead to nowhere, and more. Basically, the kind of stuff that architects and interior designers would imagine in a horror-comedy. But believe me, you don't have to be an industry pro to appreciate these pictures. They're so bad, us regular folk will get them as well. Enjoy!

It's an artwork :). In Switzerland (this is Biel), a percentage of a public building is dedicated to an artwork to be permanently installed in the building and is often specially commissioned. It's obviously not a functional staircase :)

I've had many a bad dream where I would need to navigate a building like this. Always ended the same way, kerplunk.

It's an art installation! Fake doors, etc. Left from a city wide art project. I use to walk by it everyday and it terrified me until I learned that it wasn't actual stairs.

Oh it make me feel nauseous just thinking about it. I hope those doors are really well fastened as some idiot would surely try it as a dare.

Imagine someone is walking down, and right when they reach their neighbor's, the door swings open smacking them down.

This building is not finished yet. In both pictures it can be seen that they have not yet put fences for which there is a place.

Fun fact about me: I was in the 8th grade when I discovered my crippling fear of heights. Not by being high up oh no. I looked up at a smoke stack at a field trip and was hit with a wave of vertigo so strong it was like I was magnetized to the ground. The field trip chaperone qas the health teacher and she knew immediately. Close your eyes and sit up. Lol. I was famous for that afterwards. And now as I look at this photo I feel like I'm falling.

This reminds me of a recurring dream I have. I know I can walk, run, bike, etc. down a sidewalk without any issues. Yet in my dream there is a sidewalk hundreds of feet above the ground, nothing to either side but a drop straight to the bottom, and I can barely walk a straight line.

The Hustler Casino in California had recently opened, and I drove by it to and from work. One night, the big CASINO sign was malfunctioning, two letters kept flashing off and on. So the sign was announcing to the world "CASINO... ASIN ...CASINO... ASIN ...". I called them to let them know and they thought it was a prank until they went outside and looked at it. The next night, it was fixed.
