I Went To The Slovakian Tatras With My Girlfriend And Her Family, And What I Saw Took My Breath Away (34 Pics)
Together with my girlfriend and her parents, I made a trip to Tatranská Lomnica in Slovakia. This town is the most popular place to visit if you want to explore the beautiful Tatra mountains.
For me, it's one of the top 10 most beautiful places in Europe.

I'm Michał Gałczyński from Poland and I have been a photographer for over 10 years. My focus is action sports and travel photography - but I also like product photography - especially automotive.
I've been doing photography since my teenage years. I was always into artsy stuff like graffiti, music, drawing, etc. but my first GF influenced me to fall in love with photography.
Hotel Patria. Am I the only one who thinks about The Overlook hotel from King's book?
People want come see the wilderness but want a warm bed and a shower.
As I can remember, this was my first trip to Vysokie Tatry. I visited that region on a Polish site when I was a kid too, but only for ski camps. I had never been to higher parts of it till now. My first impressions were breathtaking - we arrived at our hotel just before the sunset. The atmosphere was stunning!
Another few days were quite intense. The weather was changing quickly so we experienced heavy rain, sun, and strong wind. But the overall experience was great!
Great place to chill.
Photography is a part of my life. It's natural to me like drinking coffee in the morning. Even if I don't take photos I see the world through photography frames. I think about light, I see contrasts and patterns. If I work a lot for clients, I just don't take photos in my private time. If I have free time for too long, I grab a camera and make my own projects. It's a natural sinusoid, I guess. In the future, I'm also planning to do more travel photography, to visit new places and meet new people.
I like that opportunity to look at places with a fresh eye and frame them through my sensitivity. So feel free to write to me if you need some photos.
Nowadays I want to move slowly from action sports photography to automotive shots. I love beautiful cars and endless ways to interact with them as a photographer. I will take my camera with me on my trips - so I'll still make travel photography on my own. I'm also moving with my content from Instagram to Vero - check out this platform!
Recently I went to the semi-finals of the best contest for action sports photographers - Red Bull Illume! I also went for the first time as a photographer to Crankworx Innsbruck - a dream event for guys fixated on gravity MTB sports!
Lastly, I would just like to add, stay safe, remember to clean your hands, and love your friends!

Welcome to Vysokie Tatry. One of the biggest cities in Slovakia.
Sorry pal, but no. The town Vysoke Tatry, although at the center of the touristical area of the mountains, has got a population of 3851 as of 31.12.2021. Some villages in the country have got more inhabitants. I live in a city of about 33 thousand people which is considered a small town in the country.
Another one from Vodopády Studeného Potoka.
Old forest.
The forests in the High Tatras were devastated by high windstorms a few years back. They are slowly recovering.

Thanks for your lovely views of our mountains! I hope you had a good time, waiters were not very grumpy and beer was cold! :)
Time to relax.
I like it it has a nice colour beautifully blurry view and the best thing about it is the rocks cause those are the most important thing in the world
In Stary Smokovec, you can get a lovely Choco cake!

Omg I'm from Slovakia! I was literally just in the Tatras this summer (I'm from Canada and I was visiting my family)
Been in the Tatras on the Polish side, they're utterly amazing. Somehow, felt more primeval than any other mountains I've been in, Rocky Mtns of US included.
I don't ever comment on BP posts but with each picture my brain had a wonderful memory of all the sights and cities I visited with my grandparents every summer. We would hit the road in the old Mercury and travel west across US. Route 66 which led us through a lot of places that resembled your photos. We would let the Mother Road lead us to hiways north, south and west. I'm too old to travel these days but I have my memories of our great adventures. Thank you for allowing me this flashback.
