This Wedding Party Had Rescue Puppies Instead Of Flowers To Send A Beautiful Message

When Sarah Mallouk Crain started to plan her wedding, she knew she wanted it to reflect the huge love both she and her partner feel for animals. So when the dress, the food, the decorations and everything else were sorted, and it was time to choose bouqets for her wedding photoshoot… she decided to use rescue pups instead.
Crain’s message is clear: ‘Don’t shop, adopt. The puppies that you see in our photos are just as good as any that you’d find in a pet store’.

The pooches we see in the pictures are a litter of boxer-coonhound puppies rescued when they were less than a week old. They were named Martha, Abigail, Dolley, Elizabeth and Louisa after the first few ladies, and are now 8 weeks old – all good, enjoying their loving foster homes, and absolutely adorable when posing for Crain’s wedding pics. The lucky pup who got captured with the bride is a 9-week-old pit bull mix doggie found on the streets of Brooklyn, New York, and named Biggie Smalls. All of the doggies are from Pitties Love Peace, a rescue organization in central Pennsylvania that Sarah works for.

‘The puppies of course caused the photos to be extra natural, candid, and carefree… The wedding party was loving all the puppy snuggles’ photographer Caroline Logan told Bored Panda.

Everybody (almost) loves a wedding & puppies! What a great way to get the puppies exposed and draw more attention to the "Don't shop, ADOPT!" message. I applaud the originality of this message.

I can see this is as nice, but I've always never likes yuppies who spend so much money just to look good. I wonder if the dogs, if not adopted, can some of wedding money go to the organization? It's just my thoughts, please don't lash or take them to heart.

I like that idea, I've seen it done for funerals, donate in lieu of flowers. Why not for wedding, in lieu of cash gift, donate. Great idea.
