We Are Creating Our Own Superhero Comic… With Photos!

Project Grand Shadows is a digital photography comic book project about a homeless man, outsider in our society, who gets recruited to an experiment that goes wrong.

As much as the project is about telling the story of the main character, it is about the journey of making the comic. It is an inside look to what it takes to create art that combines photography with visual effects and what it’s like to put together the world around the story using costumes, props and real locations. It is about the challenges you face when it’s time to breath life to written word, but most importantly, it’s about three close friends creating something great together.

Project team description:

Janne is a visual effects and game professional who has worked on commercials and movies and currently works as a lead game artist at Colossal Order game development studio. His roles in the Project Grand Shadows are writer, director and visual effects artist.

Juhamatti is a photographer & visual artist. He loves conceptual photography and portraits that tells a story and his works have been featured in many photography community sites and magazines. His roles in the Project Grand Shadows are photographer, layout-designer and visual effects artist.

Matti is graphic designer and Printing Specialist. He has over ten years of experience in advertising industry and his roles in the Project Grand Shadows are lead actor, graphic designer, merchandise master and props and costume craftsman.
