Then you obviously cant remember being a child. The doctors are worried my daughter may be autistic. She does not talk yet but since being in this room she now points to the images and makes the animal sounds and also sings like the little mermaid and she sleeps amazingly in her room. Even though she can get out of her bed on her own every morning she chooses not to. She sits there quietly on her own staring at the walls. I can't imagine what she is thinking but I'm sure it will be her thinking of the most amazing stories that she has not heard yet. but the images alone will help her imagine her own wonderland. I used to imagine the most crazy storis in my head as a child and this was just from a plain wall. So just think of the things she can imagine herself in thus room. How you can't see this I don't understand. But yes you are entitled to your opinion but I am entitled to dissagree

I appreciate it is your opinion as it won't be everybody's taste. But for you to say poor girl and that she won't be able to sleep, live or imagine on her own and it's overwhelming in the wrong way. Then please explain to me why in the wrong way. I understand you think their are too many colours and pictures. But this is what I wanted. I wanted her to be able to find new pictures that she has not seen before. Each time she looks at the wall she will see something new and as she asks me who they are we will read the book. She can then imagine the stories in her head just by the images alone. So many parents don't have the time to read to their children. I read a book to her every night. But the times I might not have the time to do this just the images on the wall herself will help her to go into her own little world of imagination. Using her imagination that you seem to think she won't be able to use. If you honestly think this won't help her imagine on her own

Sorry for my opinion Kerry! But I think it's overwhelming for a little girl in the wrong way...only the craft is great, I recognize it.

Of Course, Kerry- your intention is love for your little girl and the hope she will read a lot in the future! And it´s nice to find some characters on the wall around the bed while you reading. But the whole wall! For me it´s too much. Everything is predetermined. A calm room with colorful accents is in my opinion the better way. My three children have such rooms and it is more beautiful in my eyes. And in the end it´s a question of taste-your right. So enjoy your room!
