Do you ever catch yourself wondering who the people behind various commercial, animated TV show, and service voice-overs are? When you think about it, there are tons of different voices we know so well, yet we have no idea what these people look like or who they are. The more you think about it, the weirder it starts to seem.
Do you know who is behind the famous voice of Apple's Siri? Or who gave their voice to minions from Despicable Me? Bored Panda invites you to scroll down and find out who the people behind some of the most well-known voices from commercials, TV shows, and services are.

Siri—Susan Bennett
Bugs Bunny—Mel Blanc
In January, 1961, Mel Blanc was in a near-fatal car crash. He was in a coma for two weeks and was unresponsive. About two weeks after the accident, one of Blanc's neurologists tried a different approach than just trying to address Blanc himself: address his characters. Blanc was asked, "How are you feeling today, Bugs Bunny?" After a slight pause, Blanc answered, in a weak voice, "Eh... just fine, Doc. How are you?" The doctor then asked Tweety if he was there, too. "I tawt I taw a puddy tat," was the reply.
Bart Simpson—Nancy Cartwright
Geico Gecko—Jake Wood
Winnie The Pooh And Tigger—Jim Cummings
Scooby-Doo—Frank Welker
Minions—Pierre Coffin
Voicemail Lady—Jane Barbe
This is cool. Didn't BP have an article about a woman who's husband passed, but he made a recording for the metro and she would go to hear him? Then they changed the recording, and finding out how much it meant, sent a tape to the widow? That was sweet.
Tony The Tiger—Thurl Ravenscroft
Hump Day Camel—Chris Sullivan
Philip J. Fry—Billy West
He voiced tons of other characters on Futurama including but not limited to professor and crab doctor (forgot his name)
Billy's voicing of Zapp Brannigan in "Futurama" was as a tribute to Phil Hartman, who was the original choice for the character, until Phil was killed by his wife before recording could start.
Perry The Platypus—Dee Bradley Baker
Bubbles—Tara Strong
Mario—Charles Martinet
Ludwig Von Drake—Paul Frees
The Home Depot Commercial—Josh Lucas
Kool-Aid Man—Frank Simms
Tommy Pickles—Elizabeth Daily
Aflac Duck—Daniel Mckeague
Internet Service Provider America Online—Elwood Edwards
Pillsbury Doughboy—Jobe Cerny
The "In A World Where" Voiceovers From Movie Trailers—Redd Pepper And Don Lafontaine
Progressive Box—Chris Parnell
The Progressive Box? Not Cyril from "Archer", Jerry from "Rick and Morty", or even some of his guest characters??
Germany does voiceovers for every foreign movie and every actor has his own German voice. We know foreign actors by their German voices. I was baffled as a kid when I realised not every country does this. In Poland they use one voice for the whole movie. That's very confusing. I always liked how Germany does it, but it has it's downs too. For example: often they translate everything, so when there are originally multiple languages used, in Germany they all speak German. Jokes can get lost too.
In Denmark we use subtitles. Unless it's a childrens movie. Never understood the need to replace the original actors' voices.
Load More Replies...If you like this post, watch "I Know That Voice". Great film by the voice of Bender!
No mention of tom kane..the voice of yoda, the academy awards, the professor from the powerpuff girls..the man is a legend
The only true voice of Yoda is Frank Oz. Real fans know this.
Load More Replies...What about Tom Kenny, voice of SpongeBob? He also played (in addition to tons of other voice over roles) an evil clown in Bobcat Goldthwait's 1991 alcoholic clown comedy, Shakes the Clown!
As I’m neither a child nor an American, I have no idea who most of these are.
