Van Gogh Action Figure With A Detachable Ear Is A Perfect Gift For Art Lovers
If you’re a fan of the legendary Vincent van Gogh, this awesome new action figure is perfect for you!
Created by art website Today Is Art Day, the Van Gogh action figure features the legendary artist wearing a blue coat with a sunflower pinned to it. It also comes with a paint brush and replicas of his famous paintings, including The Sunflowers and The Starry Night. The best part? The action figure has removable ears – even though it is said Van Gogh only cut off part of his left ear. You can get one of these Van Gogh action figures by supporting the idea on Kickstarter – funds that come with the figure start from $21.

Share on FacebookDunno, on the fence with this one. He was suffering so badly with depression and mental illness when he did this and then took his life not too long after sooo
seen a dozen jokes about this event, and never thought it was funny.. and that;s going before the politically correct age.
Load More Replies...Sorry, but this feels really disrespectful to Van Gogh. There was nothing funny about his illness.
Agreed. I would recommend to read an interview with Van Gogh to better acquaint oneself with a genius. http://bit.ly/2swdkSt
Load More Replies...I hate to be the one... But cashing in on someone's mental illness is the epitome of terrible.
How about Sylvia Plath with her head in the oven? There is nothing sweet or cute about this . it is insensitive at best.
Everyday I live and deal with severe depression and bipolar disorder. We do have a sense of humour. Van Gogh would be honoured someone even remembers him.
I don't see what's so funny about self-mutilation due to mental illness. Remember, he was a real person, not some fictional character.
These figures are a great gift for art lovers but this is no joke to laugh about.
What you see in all his self-portraits is his reflection in a mirror. So his self-portrait with the bandaged ear is in reverse from real life. So he indeed cut his left ear. :)

That is, without doubt, one of the most tasteless things I have ever seen, mocking the insanity of such a talented & misunderstood man.
That is, without doubt, one of the most tasteless things I have ever seen, mocking the insanity of such a talented & sadly misunderstood man.
Apologies, double post in error/

Load More Replies...Why? Do you think his mental problems were cute?
Load More Replies...Superbe j'adore ! En plus mon peintre préféré ! Où peut-on l'acheter ? Envisagez-vous de réaliser d'autres artistes peintres ? Bonne continuation de France 🇫🇷 !
He was mentally ill and that is why he cut his earlobe off. Poor taste making that a feature of the doll. Low imagination which van Gogh had plenty of. Otherwise cute doll
I read recently that he didn't give it to a prostitute, but rather to a maid in a brothel.
