Deep down, everyone wants to be a hero. Legendary cosplayer Alyson Tabbitha is no different. Except for the fact that being just one hero isn’t enough for her. Sometimes it seems like she wants to embody every single famous character of a comic book, movie, and video game in existence. At least for a few hours.
Alyson has been cosplaying professionally since 2014. Since then, her cool costumes have turned many a head and inspired others to take up this difficult art of DIY cosplay. Not to mention that her success has bred intense but friendly rivalry with other cosplayers.

Newt Scamander (Fantastic Beasts)
Nebula (Guardians Of The Galaxy )
You could've told me that was a still from the movie and I would've believed you. Amazing.
A mind-boggling 1 million cosplay fans follow Alyson on Instagram, while another 516,000 Internet users follow her on Facebook. I’m sure that some of us are a tiny bit jealous of all the attention. However, it’s easy to see why Alyson has such massive support — she makes very high quality, detailed DIY costumes that are close to perfection.
Lara Croft (Tomb Raider)
Joker
Alyson, who describes herself as “just a girl that likes to play dress up & make things“, enjoys fullfiling cosplay ideas both as women and men alike: from Lara Croft and Queen Amidala to Newt Scamander and Legolas. Her resemblance to these characters is uncanny!
Joker (The Dark Knight)
David Bowie

Nope. He had an injury when he was young that prevented one pupil from contracting. He didn't have heterochromia iridum.
Load More Replies...I call BS on this one. Here's no way to get every tiny hair in the identical spot.
Hair gel honey. Wigs. There's so many ways you just gotta get creative
Load More Replies...The origins of cosplay can be found way back in history, in the masquerade balls of the 15th century. A century later, they turned into costumed public festivals in Italy. Later on, the 19th century saw the rise in popularity of American costume and British fancy dress parties.
Maleficent
Queen Amidala (Star Wars)
However, modern cosplay can be traced back to 1908 when Mr. and Mrs. William Fell dressed up as the characters Mr. Skygack and Miss Dillpickles for a masquerade at a skating rink.
Jack Sparrow (Pirates Of The Caribbean)
Leeloo (The Fifth Element)
The first people to wear costumes to a convention were science fiction fans, Forrest J. Ackerman and Myrtle R. Douglas: they attended the 1939 1st World Science Fiction Convention in New York dressed in futuristic costumes, including green cape and breeches. Fan costuming caught on since then and the 2nd Worldcon in 1940 had both an unofficial masquerade held in Douglas' room and an official masquerade as part of the program.
Sarah (Labyrinth)
Jareth The Goblin King (Labyrinth)
Hela (Thor: Ragnarok)
Elsa (Frozen)
Princess Leia (Star Wars)
Wonder Woman
Arwen (Lord Of The Rings)

Legolas (Lord Of The Rings)
I think his face shape might've been a little too different for her to get it spot on. Still really cool though!

Poison Ivy (Batman)
Eleven (Stranger Things)
Atlanna, Queen Of Atlantis (Aquaman)
Tony Stark (Iron Man)
Arwen (Lord Of The Rings)
David Bowie ("Life On Mars" Music Video)
Casual Ariel (The Little Mermaid)
At first glance I was like, not another cosplayer... but I don't regret clicking on this! 10/10 skillz
Wow ... just wow. This is some amazing cosplay I have seen. What I loved about Alyson's cosplay is that unlike many other female cosplayers out there she is refraining from showing too much skin and sticking to the true image of the character. I am still in awe how much good work this is.
I wonder if she uses face prosthetics or if it's just makeup and shading (not that either one of those is bad)?
I would love to see a cosplayer go for Bowie's "Screaming Lord Byron" look from the Blue Jean video, with the frosted tips and the creative facial contouring. It was amazing to see that look back in the day. Nothing against Ziggy, but Bowie had other looks that were equally interesting.
Now, THIS lives up to expectations. Well done. They look great. :D
She's incredible! Where'd she get all those costumes!! I'm impressed!
wow, she pulled every one of them off amazingly. i have never seen anybody look exactly like original characters before.
Make that a costume that she created by herself, out of nothing, and hours of talented makeup that most people couldn’t even dream of doing. Sure, she’s a fit, beautiful woman, but she can turn into thousands of other women (and some men!) with just makeup. I find that pretty cool, but hey, you don’t have to.
Load More Replies...You are angry about this because you are failing to see past body of artist and not the art. I hope you manage to move past it.
