In an interview with Bored Panda, 54-year-old Okka Supardan shared more about himself. “I work at a Regional Owned Enterprise (Regional Drinking Water Company). My hobby is photography.”
All the pictures are stunning but this is my favorite! It's something you'd see in national geographic
We were curious to learn what initially drew Okka to the world of photography. He wrote: “I like adventuring into nature; coincidentally the nature in my village is quite good because it is near Mount Ciremai. Then I captured every moment of natural beauty in my area using a Canon DSLR camera, then I posted it on social media (Facebook and Instagram); two years later it went viral and many have become tourist destinations.”
The world is a beautiful place. So glad I was born here, and not one of those crappy planets like Mars
Okka also shared details about his creative process: “I always make work that is different (anti-mainstream), unique, goofy, and funny so that many people are interested, so that my work has its own characteristics, without copying other people's work.”
He added: “To produce good images and work, you have to learn a lot about photography practice.”
As for the audience’s takeaway, Okka wrote: “It must be mutually beneficial, both in terms of popularity, reputation, and financially.”
Lastly, he added: “Be wise to respect each other's work."
I live in America, no way children here would walk through fields to get to school. Kids here get dropped off and picked up, right at the door, after waiting in a mile long line. These young men are fortunate in that they get to experience nature and be one with Mother Earth as part of a daily routine
All I think about are the poisonous snakes waiting to bite or leaches trying to find skin. Beautiful picture but that's where my mind goes.
