I LOVE to knit for my dog, and he loves getting new things to wear. I made him a special cowl for Valentine’s Day with Intarsia Knit hearts. I knit in the round using the stranded method, and my tension wasn’t perfect. But I still think Willie looks adorable!!

Willie came from a Golden Retriever rescue group called SEVA GRReat. He was found in terrible condition, and they nursed him back to health. I was able to adopt him several months later. He has such wisdom and tenderness in his eyes. It’s difficult for me to believe he was ever so neglected.

He’s an internet star.

Willie has his own blog at EveryBodyLovesWillie.tumblr.com. I take original pictures of him and post something different almost every day. I also include other senior animals and unusual animal stories. Willie is also featured regularly on large blogs and was recently a Best Woof in Instagram. We were also on Tumblr Radar at Christmas.

A dog’s love is timeless.

Don’t Worry

Don’t worry! That snow is photoshop! I’d never let my best buddy sit outside in the cold. He’s a senior dog and doesn’t handle the cold all that well anymore.

My fella will be 11 (we think) this year. I think he looks pretty good for being about 70 in people years.
