The Victorian iBox fuses contemporary design with the Arts and Crafts Movement. Inspired by the works of William Morris, the portable iBox offers the equivalent of todays’s iPhone, relevant to the lifestyle of the Victorian gent, and features nine ‘apps’, handcrafted from paper.
The box itself is handcrafted from mount board and features a William Morris tapestry design, The Tree of Life, complete with handpainted Gill Sans Light type and an apple symbol, decoratively appropriate to the era.
The design illustrates that by fusing the past with the present, contemporary craft can offer classic charm and an appreciation for past styles combined with imaginative and inspirational expression.
