27 New Pics Capturing Each Encounter With Pets This UPS Guy Met While Delivering Parcels
InterviewSelfies have become an integral part of documenting our lives. Whether we like them or not, most of us end up taking selfies when we want to capture a unique place or a moment we share with someone special. For some, taking daily selfies has even become part of their routine. While an overload of similar-looking selfies might seem boring, some individuals have found unique themes that make their self-portraits stand out!
One such person is Jason Hardesty, a UPS driver who has become recognizable for his creative selfies. You might be familiar with some adorable photos he shares on social media, featuring himself with the dogs and other pets he meets while delivering packages. This isn’t the first time we’ve showcased Hardesty’s cute photos, so if you haven’t seen our previous posts, be sure to check them out!

We contacted Jason again and asked him even more interview questions to gain some more insights into his pet selfie project. We were wondering if the UPS driver implements any specific techniques or routines when taking these adorable photos, or if it's more spontaneous. Hardesty shortly answered: “Normally, the person whose dog it is takes the photos and I just hold them.”
Even the kitten, who is adorable, is even more adorable with this wonderful man!
When asked how he gains the trust of dogs and other pets, especially those who might be shy or cautious, Jason said: “The area I am in is very dog-friendly so most of the dogs want to play because there’s not that many children around, so dogs don’t feel the need to protect as much.”
We were also curious if the UPS employee has formed any lasting friendships with pets he regularly sees on his route. Jason shared with us that: “I formed a lot of relationships with dogs, dogs hear the truck and they run to the door and they know it’s me at some of the houses.” He added: “I’m actually more friendly with the dogs than customers.”
Lastly, we wanted to find out if Hardesty has connected with any pet content creators or influencers that he followed or admired before his own Instagram account became popular. We learned that: “I had not connected with anyone before my account blew up, but definitely met a lot of interesting friends afterwards.”
🎵 Kibbles and bits and bits and bits! 🎵 Every time my spousal unit sees a bulldog he feels morally obligated to sing that line from the old dog food commercial.
The UPS delivery person for our route always brings dog treats and asks if it's ok to give my dog one. He inadvertently called my dog by his name, which briefly threw me for a loop, because my dog sat in front of him waiting for the driver to pet him. He had thought calling him Cujo would be funny, it really is my dog's name.
If the local UPS driver looked like this guy I'd order more stuff.
OK, THIS is what we come here to see. This is absolutely fantastic! Thanks!
