Everyone knows that cats rule over the internet. I mean, it was basically created to look at funny cat videos and laugh at ridiculous cat pictures. But did you know that cats also rule over movies? Apparently, there are a lot of movies that cats appear in.
The cat wasn't initially supposed to be there though. It was one of the strays on the set, and they decided to let the kitty be part of the scene. However, the cat was very noisy and their purring could be heard throughout the scene making it difficult to hear everyone else.
One of the earliest appearances of a cat in a film was in 1899 in a movie called La petite fille et son chat (The Girl and Her Cat). So cats have been movie stars since way back. There's even a musical all about cats called Cats, created in 1998, that was very successful... with a remake in 2019, which wasn't that successful.
We have a whole category dedicated to cats on Bored Panda. So if you love these furry creatures, here are some posts you can check out. Want to brighten your day? If I remember correctly, it's an American made romance movie. The kind you watch more fore the scenery than the actual movie. I say that because all I can remember is how I still want to go to Tuscany because of this movie
Is it me, or does it look like they are in a ship from star wars?
Oh! I used to watch this every year in elemetary school! Its an amazing, and cute movie!
That was sad, can’t believe she committed suicide . The cat was to chill about it in my opinion.
What I look at is how the actors interact with cats, since cats are a lot more choosy about who they like than dogs, who love just about everyone (or can be trained to look like they do). You can always tell the cat lovers from the cat haters. The cat lovers are so much more natural with them; holding them correctly, automatically—-almost absentmindedly—-petting them throughout the scene, plus the cats look more comfortable in their arms. To me, people who are good with animals are good people. Kindness to animals trickles (up or down is your choice) to kindness to everyone and everything.
This was neat. I had no idea such a site existed. I *have* visited 'Does the Dog Die?' (www.doesthedogdie.com) on a few occasions for a heads up...
Internet Rule 24: If it's about cats, there is a website for it. Not to be confused with Rule 34, which is a very different thing...
Load More Replies...I just went back and counted and I have only seen 7 of these movies, heard of only 3 more.
