Yeah, but when the first humans to enter the Americas were crossing over from Asia, Alaska wasn't yet named - nor were any of the other places. The modern names refer to geographical regions - and the crossing point to Alaska was in Asia and in Siberia and in Russia. No disrespect to anyone, but they're probably not my ancestors.

First President of the US can be argued as well. Washington was the first President elected under the Constitution, but not the first ever.

Also it's inaccurate in that Siberia extends from the Urals to the Sakha Republic (Yakutia). Further east is simply called the Russian Far East (at least at present - in the future who knows?)

"It was called the Siberian Strait..." Umm, no, it was dry land at the time that people crossed to North America. Who knows what they called it tens of thousands of years ago. Nowadays, scientists refer to it as Beringia or the Bering Land Bridge.
