We had some yo-yo wielding man/boy come to our elementary school showing us his yo-yo tricks with all his different types and tricks and later they sold the yo-yos to students at school for a week or two?

My 15-year-old grandson enjoys them. He has several.

I miss my collection of yo-yos I had in the sixties as an elementary school kid. And wasn't Tom Smothers also known as the Yo-Yo King, or something like that?

yo-yos demonstrate the conversion of potential (stored) energy into kinetic (moving) energy. And, do not forget "National Yo-Yo day" is June 6th
