This Man Quit His Aeronautical Job To Travel The World And Here Is How His Notebooks Look Like
Even today, a lot of people carry around notebooks filled with daily reminders, significant dates, thoughts, and other important information. But there’s an artist who uses notebooks to make amazing art.
Jose Naranja creates breath-taking and well-thought-out notebooks from scratch. They are filled with astonishing hand-drawn illustrations and notes. His notebooks are mesmerizing works of art, made using watercolors, fountain pens, elements of photography, stamps, writing, and drawings.
For many years Jose was an aeronautic engineer, but later he decided to devote his life to art and traveling. His passion for notebook art developed in 2005 when he discovered Moleskine pocket journals. It may be hard to believe, but Jose has never taken any drawing or art classes, but his skills are flawless. He already filled in around 12 notebooks. Not long ago the artist began binding his own notebooks to make them even more personal.
In case you feel like holding one in your hands and flipping through the pages, the artist provides an opportunity to buy his notebooks, so don’t forget to check out his shop. As for now scroll down to admire these fascinating handcrafted notebooks.

Right. I can just see Indiana Jones frantically leafing through them for that life saving clue.
Load More Replies...I really admire these people. Just quit your job, and take off like "I'm going on an adventure !" If I quit my job today, in a matter of weeks, I`d have enough money left to go to the park. On foot.
Super cool, but I am always like, "You quit your job? How can you afford to travel ?!"
Each of his replica notebooks is 300 euro to buy. Even if he sells ten a month, he can travel on a budget indefinitely. And trust me, people buy.
Load More Replies...WOW NEVER EVER SEEN THESE NEVER EVER BE ABLE TO MAKE THESE I HAVE NEITHER PATIENCE OR TALENT WOW YOU ARE AMAZING THIS IS INCREDIBLE.!!!!!
WOW. his skills are amazing, his calligraphy & drawings on point. I would love to check out his notebooks.
these are called travel art journals, there's a whole community on the internet, but his are quite exceptionnal !
That black & white one with people moving in their vehicles look real though
Fabulous! I've never seen anything like this -- unique and brilliant at the same time. Bravo to a fantastic artist.
I'm amazed and envious of such talent. But this article deserves a headline that isn't grammatically abhorrent. Please fix it.
Oh my... I only DREAM of journaling with this intensity and talent. The writing, penmanship, drawings, colors... all are superior to anything I could ever hope to do. I am in awe of this. And $350 US doesn't seem like nearly enough for a copy of one of them. I hope he sells out quickly.
These notebooks are beautiful works of art. I love the "Killer Queen" lyrics too-- obviously an artist with good musical taste.
Art for the the sake of art ona personal level. The story of his thoughts for others to see and decipher one day, when he is gone.
Its "How His Notebooks Look" or "What His Notebooks Look Like"
Thank you... that bugged me so much, I nearly didn't clink the link.
Load More Replies...I can't make out if this is his talent or his skill, but God/Cosmos Bless him further for that
I'm jealous of how amazing these are. Wheneven I do this I always end up ripping most of the pages out when I mess up.

Either, “Here’s how his notebooks look.” Or “Here’s WHAT his notebooks look like.”
Really nice, but the article is in dire need of proofreading and editing, especially for grammatical errors.
These remind me of Nick Bantock's work (Griffin and Sabine, etc.). They're lovely.
I'm a simple man. Whenever I see "Quit His/Her Job " in the title, I downvote.
That isn't simple, it's actually pretty confusing. Why would you do that?
Load More Replies...You do realize that most of the artist whose work is featured on here, also have links to places you can purchase said art, right? Or are you just complaining to complain?
