Visiting The Jurassic Coast, I Captured The Majesty Of Nature

I visited the Jurassic Coast to get a true feeling for the history of this land. It did not take long to find myself in the presence of dinosaurs, the majesty of the rock formations, the cliffs and the sea pools opened their secrets to me in all their ancient splendor.

I felt a duty to use my camera and truly capture the feeling which this scenery imparted to my soul. Each shot captures a piece of history from the prehistoric times.

The Jurassic Coast is a World Heritage Site on the English Channel coast of southern England. It consists of Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous cliffs, spanning the Mesozoic Era, documenting 180 million years of geological history.

Hey, thanks Diana :) In order to stop light from entering the camera, you need to use a natural density filter. You can get them darker or lighter, I used one, that darkens the light by 10 stops. To the naked eye it is basically completely black, but it does let in some light, so that allows me to do longer exposures daytime. :) For some of the photographs in this gallery the exposures are over 4 minutes, but mostly around 30 secs :) P. s. Good ND filters start at £50, so dont get one cheaper then that, or your photos will lose quality.
