Dog Follows Google Street View Car In Japan, Hilariously ‘Ruins’ Each And Every Photo

Google Street view is a useful and fun feature that allows people to explore the world from the comfort of their homes. The camera finds itself in some surprisingly remote and wonderful places and sometimes manages to capture some truly bizarre scenes on its journey throughout the world.

Added to that is this episode from Japan when a plucky little dog decided that it would give chase to the Google Street View car. Why do (mainly tiny) silly dogs do this, and what do they hope to achieve? Are they planning to rip the huge street view car to shreds upon capture? Nobody knows, and nobody knows what happened when the car hit a dead end, with the doggo still bounding manically along in hot pursuit.

The brave and slightly unhinged pup, who’s probably of a native breed Shiba Inu, has become a hit in Japan, with the district of Kumage, in Kagoshima Prefecture, suddenly becoming a popular search subject on Google Street View. How the scene was first found is a mystery. Are there people out there scouring every inch of the Earth from their desktops, searching for weird and hilarious scenes? We can only hope so. This isn’t even the first viral Google Street View funny dog either, check out this super cute pup following the camera around in Korea!

Scroll down to check out the images for yourself, and if you want to check out the Street view, you can do so here.

The car was later found with the driver covered in the cutest slobber ever.

So cute! I am surprised his eyes weren't blurred out for his anonymity. ;-)

Does this mean that "Google Maps" will include the dog in it's directions? Say, make a left next to the white and blue boat with the cute dog? :)

We don't know why dogs chase cars, but this little one shows such determination, and I see that he is having such fun, that day could have been the most fun he has had in a very long time.

It's not like the car hit a dead end, that road was the dead end itself and it was the dog's domain. Of course he would follow the car.

Quite a journey that was. 105 meters of running for yet another clickbait.

I once found an interesting looking motorcyclist from the Street view and I was happy that the Street View car followed him/her many kilometres. :)
