Japanese photographer Shinichi Maruyama creates astonishing time-lapse images of Nude Dancers by merging together 10,000 of individual shots. The final result looks like a painting made with a thick brush, drawing smooth limbos across the canvas.

“I tried to capture the beauty of both the human body’s figure and its motion,” says Maruyama.

Interestingly, nobody would have been able to do anything like that in the past:

“Because of the technology we have today, I was able to use a camera that let me take about 2,000 images per second,” says the artist.

To make the shots even more spectacular, Murayama worked together with choreographer Jessica Lang who created various dance routines that reveal the beautiful forms of the body motion.
