“Through Marianna’s Eyes” – If Newborn Had A Camera, What The Pictures Would Be Like?
When I was pregnant with our younger daughter Marianna I had an intention to make cute and sweet new-born photoshoots. But in reality when she was born first I was tired, then she wasn’t in the right mood, after that there were teething adventure and “will never be asleep” period… Well you know… But I became very curious how she sees the world and us. So during her 1st year I was documenting her life with iphone trying to show how she develops through the changes of her point of view, how her personal universe is widening from the size of uterus to the whole world, how strongly she depends on her mother and father and how many discoveries she is making every day. This project is very personal and intentionally unprofessional, so I have doubts that it will be interesting to other people. But anyway I decided to show it to you, guys.
That’s how I think I look inside
This must be the first picture which Marianna has seen in this world
“Is this my mum?! Looks a bit strange”
“Bottles? Don’t need them….”
“…. this is much better!”
“Oh, I have brother!”
“And another brother?!”
“She’s carrying me for an hour already but I don’t want to sleep!”
“It’s so much sun and space!”
“What for do you need so giant hands?!”
“Who is this beautiful girl?!”
“This hairy creature keeps an eye on me all the time!”
“Vacation is great!”
“I love diving!”
“They say it’s time to sleep but I don’t want to!”
“Now I can turn on my tummy”
“This car seat is so inconvenient! It’s so stupid to drive the car backwards!”
“So strange – the shower from the sky!”
“I think she needs to make a pedicure, I can help”
“… cause I made it perfectly to myself!”
All the time – all the time Marianna is around me
All the time! Now she can reach me even on the sofa!
She is studying anatomy using my face and body
“Dad! So glad to see you! So bored to be with mum all the time!”
“Brother’s birthday! I love this round colourful things”
Bathing is such a fun!
“I can seat and read”
“and grab a lot of interesting things!”
“Please, one more spin!”
“I’m sure that I can get there!”
“I can play the piano better!”
“I can fly!”
“Mummy, are you sure I can make it myself?!”
“Yeahh! I can walk!”
