Roman Manikhin is an illustrator/painter with a wonderfully extraordinary vision of distorted sensuality, lowbrow tropes stretched util they implode upon themselves in howling shapes and colors.
That’s what Roman is saying about his art: “My art is fully tied up with women and my private bio is more exciting than the creative one. My artworks are inviting the audience to follow me into the world of forbidden fantasies and face themselves”.
Recent series of artworks which was presented at the spring personal exhibition “Three-legged bearded woman throws a wedding flower bunch” was devoted to burlesque.
