I take a lot of picture of my pets and I don’t know what to do with them all so here are some of my favorites :)) I hope you like them.
The brown and white dog is Bailey. My dad brought her from his old home at around a year old and she was my best friend. She was a Scott American Bulldog and she was b i g. She wasn’t socialized well as a puppy but during school breaks I would take her on walks around the neighborhood to help her learn that new places aren’t scary. Unfortunately, at around 3 years old, she began to get sick. Eventually we had to put her down because she was suffering from sever congestive heart failure, a problem that’s sorta common in larger barrel chested dogs.
The brown bunny is Cocoa, he is a Newfoundland dwarf rabbit. He’s been my fluffy little baby for around 6 and a half years now. My mom saw an ad for him on Facebook, by a breeder who didn’t want him anymore because he was three years old. We fell in love and drove over an hour to get him. He’s around 9 and a half years old now, and he’s our favorite grumpy old man. He’s been through a lot with us and I’m gonna miss him when he crosses that bridge in the sky.
The fish is Pennywise, named by my dad because he is a “clown knife-fish”. I don’t get particularly attached to fish but he’s pretty cool and I think a few years old now.
The gecko is Max. In 7th grade, I had to do a project for English class and I chose to make a terrarium. Most kids who did that just made small fake ones but I went all out with a ten gallon tank and live plants, and had invented there to be a leopard gecko. My first leopard gecko was named Cirus but unfortunately an accident occurred and he wasn’t there for the presentation. A long time went past where the terrarium just had plants and after a while my parents and I were at the pet store and saw that the leopard geckos were a lower price than usual, and we could afford to get one. So, my parents and I picked one out and I named him Max, he’s almost 2 years old and he’s my bud :)
The bird is Rio, and he honestly was an impulse decision. I’d always wanted a bird, ever since my mom and I nursed a wild pigeon back to health for 6 months when I was like 8 (crazy story). But we just never got around to adopting one. One day, my parents and I were at the pet store getting food for Max and I saw the big tank with parakeets in it. I stopped and stared at them and I just fell in love with all of them. Through some successful begging, consisting of “p l e a s e” my mom told me to find a cage and after finding everything we needed, we picked him out. I originally wanted one of the albino ones but then my dad noticed Rio playing and hanging upside down from the treat holder and we decided he was more our type :). We’ve only had him a few months, and we’d only had him a week when the puppies came home.
The last babies are the puppies we have now. It’d been a couple years without a dog, and my mom saw another Facebook post. A family member’s dog had had an accidental litter, mutts. They weren’t in the best conditions and my parents just couldn’t let them stay there. The pictures were simply adorable, one boy and I think 5 girls. My parents went over and picked up Linus, the boy, and then the only available girl left, Lucy :). When they were brought home they were t i n y. And they had worms, but now they’re healthy and growing way way too fast. They’re little monsters but I love em.
I hope you like all the pictures :). Remember to drink water, and eat three meals a day.
