There are thousands of incredible artists, but not every one of them can make you think about life, society, and the future. Joey Guidone is a 33-year-old illustrator from Italy who, in his free time, loves hiking in the Alps around his town.
"I think I started creating things on paper as soon as I got a pencil in hand," the artist shared with Bored Panda. "I remember my dad used to supply me and my sister with tons of chalks. Since my family house was isolated and safe from cars, a good place where I enjoyed expressing my creative ideas was the road right out of the door."
The artist creates thought-provoking images about science, modern society, and changing times. "I like taking objects and making them 'talk' to each other in surrealistic conversations. Basically, my work is creating meaningful drawings that communicate information easily and quickly. Using objects as symbols and building visual paradoxes and metaphors is the way I like the most for doing that."
The artist was happy to share his artistic process. "I usually sketch very quickly my drawing ideas on paper, which immediately allows me to realize if it could work or not. If I think it does, then I draw a refined sketch with my pen tablet. Then, if approved by the Art Director, I bring it to final art."
And while Joey loves his work, there are some minuses in being an illustrator."In my opinion, the good and the bad about being an illustrator is that it's a lonely journey. That gives you complete freedom, which is great, but at the same time being alone can be very tough and requires a good dose of self-knowledge."
Take a look at some of his cool drawings below and let us know what you think.

So much symbolism here, the Stars and Stripes, the rising sun of Japan.....the owners, and destructors, of the ocean?
An airing out of dusty, contextually here to mean archaic and unprogressive, politics and ideologies has long been overdue; yet we have yet to have anyone available that is trustworthy enough to do it.
Feeling like to move forward takes being a part of a corporation? and to have a blue collar job would be behind/under/moving backwards?
I like these a lot. I didn't understand some, but others really spoke to me. Well done! Keep it up!
Well said. some are just too abstract for my little brain.
