Looking backward in history, most people can clearly identify things that were wrong. For instance, eradicating the natives was considered normal in the 1700’s and even the 1800’s but most people now agree that was wrong. Another example is slavery. Most people agree it was an awful thing that should have never occurred. But at the time it was important enough to go to war over and potentially end the formation of the US as we know it. So based on that, much of what we consider acceptable today we can assume future generations will consider abhorrent. The question is, are we smart enough and insightful enough now to recognize what some of those things will be and will you as an individual be remembered as being on the right side of history? What do you believe could be some of those issues? Ever think about it?
