We are all going to remember the year of Corona and what we did with all that free time. Maybe you wrote that book you always dreamt of writing. Or you recorded some beautiful music. Yeah, just rub it in.
I'm a freelance photographer and all my work dried up in an instant with the outbreak of Corona. I accept most job offers I get, not because I have to, but because I love what I do. Pile on personal projects on top of that, and it can get overwhelming.
So for me, it was a welcome break and I used my free time in the least productive way imaginable. Playing video games.
I had finished the story part of Red Dead Redemption 2 a long time ago, but there is so much to explore, that it was easy to let the hours just while away. One day you be out hunting grizzly bears, the next day you're bird watching. Well, to be honest, I spent three days with my binoculars looking for rare birds and I still didn't find all of them.
And then you have your box camera and all this beautiful scenery, the changing light, the people in the game.
I actually hardly missed real photography at all, I got the same kick out of taking these pictures as I do IRL.
Having said that I'm kind of over Corona now, could we all go back to living again soon?
