I am Ajit Johnson, a Ph.D. student working in cancer genetics and genomics, and when I am not deconvoluting the complexity of cancer (or at least that’s what I tell myself), I love telling stories through my graphic design artworks to spread love, hope, and encouragement.
It was one of those unproductive days when I realized that I look at my phone or open social media web pages far too long than needed, which inspired me to take up the challenge of not using my phone for a day. It was extremely difficult, but very soon I realized, how much more productive I can get and how much time I had, which I thought never existed.
#This_Generation is a set of minimal poster designs that I designed to emphasize the need to acknowledge tech addiction invasion without even being aware of it. The use of modern technology is, of course, fun and extremely useful, but blinding oneself of the dark side (cyberbullying, privacy, etc.…) can be equally dangerous. Also, spending much time plugged in affects our relationships and creates plenty of social issues, studies say.
Anyway, being guilty of many of these cool posters myself, I hope this series gets the message across in a hilarious manner. Now let me go Snapchat a selfie.

This one is actually not so bad. It's a time saver. Some people work better when taking notes alone and at their own pace, while browsing those blackboard photos, than when they can't concentrate on the class and the teacher's explanations, being too busy to write everything down before everything gets erased.
Teen pregnancies have dropped with this generation actually. That's because of education and living in a more liberal world.
Uhh with the internet I can call for help, then tell them I'll be at the oasis after I get my bearings using location services.
I've had that very same idea. Maybe the phone wouldn't work at all if near the steering wheel or something similar to that.
This is truth. Kids are alert more for their social profile status instead of other things.
Nah, I just name it correctly Adult Content and it sits right next to movies :-D
I make a nice hot cup of tea , sit down to read and finish up with a forgotten cold cup of tea.
because it's quicker than the mail wow! almost like we're innovating!
- Hi Kitty - Hi Doggy. Whats Up? - Humans not home. - Thats great Kitty! - I ate their shoes, took a bath on the wc and then pooped all around. - OMG Kitty! Don't wanted to know that! - Wait! I hear the keys and someone coming! I think humans just came in the house, Doggy... Noope, false alarm. - I hate humans!! - I hate them and wanna blow them up... And... i run out of ideas... :D
Ahahaha! My dad always used to ask why the boys have to show their boxers, with their pants hanging almost around their knees
Is this person reliving the same day over and over again like in Groundhog Day?!
This is more of the fact that even with a full time job no one can find a house or even afford an apartment
long distance relationships last longer now because now you can see the face of your loved one amazing!
?? Who does that? Now I think this is just being made up to make technology look bad.
because someone decided that they can stop what they're doing to talk to you when you're a 1000 miles away.
LoL I sung this when I read it! :P The real version is a childrens song/rhyme that is about lying. My son loves the original song!
this makes no sense i have no idea what you're trying to say with this
"I'm excited and proud of my daughter for winning the spelling bee @grandpa that lives three states away from us"
People should stop perpetuating this mentality and simply accept the fact society changes with technological progress, and that is not only natural but inevitable
It seems every generation likes to shake there fist and rabble-rabble at the next generation. Calm yourselves, people.
Many of these are totally untrue, and this is from a teen's point of view. Stop generalising. See from different perspectives.
true, true, but wasn`t this generation pretty much raised by the generation that b*tches about this generation ? I bet there was a time when somebody uttered the words "Ah, you young punks with your fancy fires and -whaddiyacallem- wheels. You don`t care about the old ways anymore." :D
Kids today are so stupid. They have to paint pictures of the hunt on the cave walls, because they can't remember it.
Ironic that he puts these on social media and that we are reading this on social media. Hypocritical?
good work, 100% agree its a pure addiction !! we are addicted to this lifeless technology
