Marcus and Sandra have been married on every vacation they have ever been on together since meeting in 2010. So far that has accumulated to 7 weddings in 6 different countries. I met them in Copenhagen, Denmark where I photographed their gorgeous spiritual ceremony in the snow and instantly fell in love with their story of adventure, passion and marriage. Check it out!

Marcus proposed Oct 2010
We instantly fell in love and wanted to see the world together.
In the summer of 2011 we were on a trip in Sun City.
It was late a night surrounded by friends and colleagues and Marcus said “I wish I could marry you right here, right now.” At this point, we didn’t have a wedding date set. I went to the concierge and asked if they might be able to help arrange a “spiritual wedding” and he said he was actually a minister and would be glad to perform the ceremony the next morning.
Sun City Wedding
They helped arrange a bouquet to be delivered and we purchased gift store wedding rings. The next day we were spiritually married in front of a few friends & colleagues.
Santa Cruz, CA Wedding
We had our Santa Cruz wedding surrounded by friends and family.
Santa Cruz, CA wedding
This was our “official wedding.”
Maui, Hawaii Wedding
On our 1 year anniversary we went to Maui. There is a beautiful church in Hana. We both wrote some vows and commitments to each other and said “I do” again. It was just the two of us.
Bali Wedding
When I began planning our trip to Bali, Marcus said “can we get married there?”. Really, what man what’s to get married AGAIN? It was so sweet. He always says, “why get married only once? It’s the most special day of our lifetime, I want to marry you all over the world and share our love!” And so it began, the dreams of weddings in various countries and cities.
Bali Wedding
Every location and experience is different. We try and incorporate local customs/ traditions and details if possible, even down to the clothing we wear. I’ve never worn the same dress twice. Marcus enjoys seeing each dress for the first time. Sometimes we’ve had an official blessing and some times if it wasn’t possible, we renew our vows ourselves. We ALWAYS say new vows to each other and renew the commitment we make to each other going forward.
Saulita, Mexico Wedding
After Bali, we deciding that a good photographer was important. We want to capture the moment and share it with our friends and family. People often ask us where we are getting married next. There are a few people that think it’s silly. But in general, especially with the more experiences we have, people love the idea.
Saulita, Mexico Wedding
We don’t have any “rules” or requirements about our weddings. We thought about them, things like- it has to be a new location, or there has to be other people there. But we decided that we don’t need any rules, we’ll get married when, where and how we want to. Love is limitless, why make rules :)
Copenhagen, Denmark Wedding
We’d love to get married in every country in the world. There are 195 countries in the world. If we live another 40 years, we’d need to get married about 5x per year, which isn’t possible. So, we’ll go to places we always dreamed of and get married as part of our journey.
Faroe Islands Wedding
I’ve already told Marcus he needs to plan for my passing because the last thing on earth that I will do, as I take my last breaths, will be to marry him!
