Share on FacebookI already knew this was going to have a sad ending in the beginning when I noticed everything was written in past tense. I had a 5 year long, long distance relationship. It also didn't work out. It takes two of the same type of people to really work hard on making it last. If you are in a long distance relationship, and you are reading this, I really hope from the bottom of my heart, you succeed, where others have failed, in making it work. :)
After a summer romance, I long distance dated my boyfriend for 1.5 years before being in the same city again. It was a rough-go for sure, and we continually create hope by setting the next meet-up and set end-dates of being apart. Luckily, we managed to hang on especially since we knew little of each other to begin with. Plenty of ups and downs for sure. When we were finally in the same city, it was all rainbow and sunshine at the beginning. Then it took time to learn our rhythm. We've been together for 28 years now.
